SpringHill Suites by Marriott Hershey Near the Park

Great location for Hershey park. Clean comfortable room.

The pool being open late was great! I felt it was clean and welcoming. Staff was very nice. I would stay again. The pool area was sloppy. I had a room for 6 people and only four towels and 1 sheet for the trundle.

The breakfast was very good. The kitchen staff worked steadily to see that the food stations were well supplied and the quality of the food was better than expected. When we arrived, we learned that Booking.com had not connected with Springhill re: our reservation, thus we had no room. Employees, Austin and Jodi, worked diligently to resolve the problem and make sure we had good accommodations. We were very grateful.

Here were some of the other problems - I looked up availability on both the Marriott app and on a third party site and found a similar rate on both. I called the customer service number to see if an early check in was available and the price I got from the agent on the phone was substantially more. I asked if that was because of additional charges for early check in and he said that he could not guarantee early check in and I would need to call back the morning of. I told him the price available online and he kept telling me I was wrong. I ended up booking online and managed without the early check in! 2. The air conditioning unit was clearly not functioning properly. When I turned it on it made the room uncomfortably cold and if I turned it off the room quickly became muggy. I kept waking up to adjust the system multiple times overnight 3. There was no light switch near the bed. I had to make my way to the bed using the light on my phone after turning the lights off near the door

The staff were nice

Near the attractions Not a lot of non fast food restaurants that’s near. I was surprised that there wasn’t a Walmart/Target nearby Bed was soft and could feel my husband toss and turn and woke me up each time. Better coffee and could use flavored creamer such as Hazelnut :(

Friendly staff, clean and spacious room.

All staff were friendly and helpful. The distance to Hershey Park was great. The breakfast was absolutely disappointing. While there were several options available, the quality of the food was very poor. There was also not enough seating to accommodate the number of families staying at the hotel. Given the limited seating, breakfast should be extended until at least 10:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. to give guests more flexibility. The nightly rate was far too high for the quality of this hotel. There was a fire drill in the evening, which I understand was outside of the hotel's control. However, the elevator was also broken for several hours, creating an additional inconvenience. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the room was also a major concern. There were small hairs throughout the room, including in the shower and on the bed. The couch appeared as though it had not been cleaned in quite some time. We actually brought our own cleaning products and felt the need to clean parts of the room ourselves. Additionally, children were roaming around the hotel after 10:00 p.m., which contributed to the overall lack of comfort during our stay. Overall, for the price we paid, the experience and cleanliness did not meet reasonable expectations.

Apparently I booked an accessible room, I don't know how that happened. I simply went to the front desk and they were able to give us another room.

False fire alarms at 2:30am at my 1st night, we had to run outside, and stayed outside for more than an hour, then back to the room but the whole family could not sleep back and we have a long driving the next day. Request some compensations.

The complimentary breakfast was another highlight, with a great variety of options and something for everyone. The hotel is also incredibly convenient to Hersheypark, just a 10-minute drive or less. The staff truly made this stay special. Highly recommend!
