Just perfect for the money I paid.

Comfortable bed and pillows. Room had an air conditioner, small fridge, balcony. Stuff is friendly. Location is good, pretty close to the beach and the main road. The room was small. The air conditioner was weak; it froze overnight and no longer blew cold air. There was no hot water for a couple of days. The hotel is close to the railway.

To close to the train tracks and noisy sometimes!

Nice location. Very close to the main street. The host was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean with a nice balcony. .

You can also ask for everything and get helped with everything!

Clean rooms right of of the main street in town. Had a terrace where I enjoyed my morning coffee. Overall great stay and the staff was always willing to help with whatever questions I had. In this price range L&D provided more than expected and included breakfast. The hotel is located on the active train tracks and you can clearly hear the trains going by. This added to the experience for me because I enjoyed watching the trains!

There was Cockroachs insde the room

The location of the hotel is amazing. It's in the center of Hikkaduwa. Take a few steps and you are on the beach. All the facilities, shops, venues are in the vicinity. The railroad might be a problem for someone, but on the other hand it might be a deal-breaker.

We liked how friendly the staff was. They let our kids play with their pet turtles and bunny. The rooms on the third floor where we stayed were spacious and clean. We did inquire about doing laundry and they were not able to accommodate our request. The Sri Lankan breakfast of roti and dahl (upon request) was delicious and slightly more filling that the western breakfast of toast and egg.

Turtle beach is very close-by. Hikka Tranz is also nearby. Room key had an issue.

Big stylish room and balcony Very good breakfast Very attentive personal: they checked us in an hour earlier without any problems and were always ready to help Cleaning! It was the only one from several our hotels where the room was cleaned during the living. Very pleasant. The main thing that I do not like is reconstruction works during all our living. That was very disappointing and irritating. Firstly it was on the first floor (we lived on the 3rd) and we saw the dust from cutting tiles under our balcony. Then it was held in the room above us (till 9 pm) and finally in the next room. I wish the hotel would not accommodate guests during the rooms renovation. However, future guests will be living in newly renovated rooms which is good

Close to the main road, the accommodation its great. Lucky the owner is very friendly and helpful. The perfect place to escape at the seaside

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location was also perfect - very close to Hikkaduwa Beach and Narigama Beach (everything was walking distance). The breakfast was okay - don’t expect anything amazing as it’s very plain but wasn’t the worst breakfast we tried in Sri Lanka. However, we are not sure why the place has such high ratings. The sheets didn’t smell clean, the bathroom had a weird smell (vomit), and we had two cockroaches in our room which just topped it off. We stayed in 8 locations before this one, of various standard, and never had an issue with the above. It is also advertised that there’s a flat-screen TV, which is true, but was not plugged in and set up, not sure if it even worked. The bedside lamps also didn’t work. I hope that the place takes these points into consideration to improve customer satisfaction. Thank you!

Very good value for money, great breakfast, room was clean, staff so friendly and helpful C orridors and the dining hall have a moisture smell, which is poorly ventilated

Lovely place and staff. Huge room on the ground floor overlooking the garden, with large bathroom containing a washing machine (handy!) Also had a kitchenette with fridge and microwave, kettle, etc. Perfect! Really enjoyed the place. A short walk to the beach, which was absolutely fine, but others may prefer to be overlooking the sea. Not a problem for us as it meant that it was away from all the street noise and traffic, etc.

Water pressure was good, no blackouts, the owner is always near, they can easily cook you whatever you bring to them, as they have a kitchen on the first floor, the AC worked great, overall good experience, I would suggest it over the hotel. The breakfast is basic
