Peaceful stay on the beach front

The location is perfect if you are looking for a quiet place...rigth at the beach front..a bit further apart from.other hotels and busy parts of the beach. .It is a lovely place to spend at least several days..with an incredible little cove protected by rocks..and nearby the fisherman's harbourt and fish market The owner is very attentive and helpful I highly recommend it Everyithing was fine..the only thing is thati s a bit far from.the center of town..but they are buses running every 10 min and tutk-tuk always available ..

Good location. A few steps from the room to the beach. Quiet area. Safe parking. Easy access to the town. BBQ facilities that we used. Nice owner Very basic breakfast

Only one good thing about this place is location right on the beach although even that not perfect. Every night there was a noisy local people on the beach drinking alkohol and playing loud music in front of the hotel. Stay away from this place!!! The owner is very aggressive!!! I’ve stayed in Crocodile Villa 3 days and that was the worst experience I’ve ever had in entire time of my travels. He was very rude and even aggressive. His English was very poor and he didn’t understand when I was trying to explain him something He accused me for not paying the coconut. He said I don’t wanna pay. The last day he got mad and start screaming to me Get out!Get out now from my property! I don’t want you here! It’s just because I asked him for a pan to warm up my food for the breakfast, his breakfasts included to the room payment was very bad so I had my own food. I left the pan to wash for later before my food get cold but he said he don’t care about my food and I must clean right now. When I said I’ll do later he start screaming at me. This man should not run a hotel, he has no idea how to treat the guests. I’ve got scared and insecured.

Beautiful location absolutely stunning . Breakfast was lovely juice was excellent. Titus is an excellent host Towels didn't dry us very well. Nice sheets would be nice

The owner Titus was incredibly friendly and helpful and went out of his way to assist me. I highly recommend this quiet, beach front, value for money accommodation for some relaxation time. It was a bit difficult to find after getting a local bus from Colombo as I didn't have Wifi or a local SIM. Friendly locals helped me find it :)

Right next to the beach. Really nice owner. He helyed with everything. Stores are nearby. Everything has been solved immediately by the owner.

Beachfront Not the nicest place due to the owner
-
Amazing location right at the beach, which was super clean and we were the only ones there. It's located outside of hikkaduwa, so quiet and not so crowded. Worth the drive. Small but decent breakfast. Very friendly and helpful owner The room was a bit dark.

Nice location, right at a beautiful beach. The staff were impolite, even rude. Almost zero knowledge of English which would be ok with us if they tried to be helpful nevertheless. We paid for the use of a shared kitchen with a stove, fridge etc. The kitchen was locked most of the day so when we put some food in the fridge we then lost access. The staff weren’t around all the time and we had no way to contact them. The gas stove was broken but nobody told us. I tried to cook some rice and ended up with a stove blasting gas in the air. If I hadn’t find a way how to unplug the gas tank the whole place would explode! Nobody gave a damn. When we arrived, a guy just collected money from us and pointed to our room. Gave us keys but the lock was broken (hence our room could not be locked, anyone could come in at all times). Nobody gave a damn. We paid for free toiletries but ended up with one roll of thin toilet paper for 5 days. Nobody gave a damn. We paid for room service but didn’t even get a broom to clean up our room ourselves. Nobody gave a damn. On the second day, the bathroom sink clogged. Nobody gave a damn, we had to deal with that ourselves. To sum up, be prepared to pay a random price to be silently ignored the whole time. When the staff is around, they follow you around the villa and KEEP STARRING. Ask them whether they’re in a need of something, they will either giggle or frown but surely won’t break the eye contact.

Very very poor breakfast
-
On the beach where you can swim. Nice clean room with A/C and fan. Deck to watch the sunset and access to the kitchen with nice fridge. All good!!
-
Extremely close (less than 10m to the water) to a beautiful swimming beach. The hosts were super friendly and flexible. Close to beach restaurants. A quieter area, not over run with tourists but still easy to access Hikkaduwa by bus Nothing really but just be aware that there is a charge to use the communal washing machine

Good location, right on the beach, peaceful with a great view Breakfast was very small.

The accommodation has 3 standard smaller double rooms upstairs and 2 family rooms downstairs. The location on Dodanduwa beach was perfect. The rooms were perfectly fine with both AC, fan and mosquito net. Missing Mortein and incense to keep the mosquitoes away though. You can order fruit drinks and dinner and they cook good rice and curry. The picture with sunbeds and sunroofs on the beach is not correct. You have to carry the sunbed down and back every day by your own and there are no sunroofs. Nor the hammock on the terrace. The breakfast was the most meager I have received at any accommodation. 2 pancakes with banana and a cup of tea, not even a pot. No bread, eggs, juice or fruit platter. They like to knock on your door early to serve breakfast. But after a couple of days I managed to decide my breakfast time.

The property is very easy to get to, it is on the main road but the rooms are right by the beach so you would hear the waves more than the cars. The room was clean, the staff is very nice and the breakfast was delicious. The sink was clogged and the water stayed in the sink for a long time. But we only stayed one night so did not bother too much.
