The Chariot Hikkaduwa

We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this hotel. It absolutely lived up to our expectations and the positive reviews we read. · The location is perfect – pleasantly away from the crowded main beaches of Hikkaduwa, yet just a 2-minute tuk-tuk ride from the main street. The tuk-tuks come quickly, so you're never isolated. · The atmosphere is peaceful – a very beautiful, green, and quiet place ideal for relaxation. · Great for families – featuring a lovely pool and an on-site restaurant. · Impeccable service – the place is spotlessly clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly and always helpful. A couple of minor points to note: · We experienced occasional brief power outages and interruptions to the hot water supply. · The main gates are locked after 10-11 PM. While the staff will open them if you call, returning late can feel a bit inconvenient as you might disturb those already asleep.

Pool was clean and recirculation maintained well, very friendly staff specially chooty Thathsarani took care us with grate service. Close to the railway noisy by train passing.

The staff at Chariot are exceptional. They were prompt, courteous and extremely helpful. The property is so unique and well thought out — cosy, quiet and welcoming. The food is delicious and the location is pretty great.

The very friendly staff. We can tell they try their best to make our stay nice even though they seem untrained. The toilet smells like drain. It’s not fresh at all. It has mould and really needs a refresh.

Exceptional

We stayed for 5 nights in January 2025. The hotel is new with nice architecture and interior. Good ambience by the pool. We had the largest room. Spacious with nice interior and two large double beds and a single. Very good WiFi. No noise from the main, busy road along the beach, trains go close by (rarely). We had several meals at the hotel. Credit to Neil, the chef, who served up one meal better than the other. Dinidu, the manager, and his staff did everything he could for our stay to be at its best. The hotel is small and tranquil.

The manager Davindru and Cristina were lovely and helped make the stay enjoyable. 5 star from them 2 guys. ? Hotel looks great first impressions, but the rooms are small and overpriced by a long margin on other places I have stayed in Sri Lanka.

Very pleasant location & very friendly staff. Specifically Mr.Dinindu arranged everything for our activity at the stay. Specially kayak which was our very first experience which was great. I’ll highly recommend this Hotel ?.

Superb

We booked a triple room, and the room had two king size beds which was comfortable and had enough room. Tasty food with good quantity. Small but a clean swimming pool. The discriptor mentioned it was a garden view but there was a bare land which did have a good view. We had to pass a unsafty railway crossing to enter the hotel.

Everything was amazing! Very beautiful room, clean, air condition, great Staff, dlicious breakasts, etc. The best place:) and a gift at the end- what was a very nice surprice:) Thank you :)

Food was excellent but some continental variety is preferable. The food was very tasty and serving excellent. All fine for the value

t was a sudden visit to the hotel. For a great deal from booking.com. Superb welcome. The location is very close to Hikkaduwa Beach, Galle, Madu River and Mirissa. Delicious breakfast and reasonable restaurant ala-carte food. Everything is good and noting we don't like

It was a rainy day and could not enjoyed the garden much. Unfortunately, there was a power cut due to repair in National power grid due to heavy rain. Team is friendly. Experienced the Sri Lankan food which was great. Architecture was really beautiful and there are locations for the photography lovers. Highly recommendable resort to stay and enjoy your vacation. One of the best Boutique resorts we enjoyed in Sri Lanka. It is an 8 rooms resort. but we love their hospitality, personal care, Sri Lanka tasty food. Crab curry was amazing. We love their Cement look finish all around the hotel with Rustic joinery and antique items. Room is spacious with all the facilities; bathroom is bit small. Overall, we got more than Value for money for our stay. We had few groceries item requirement and team help me within hesitance. We experienced TV and internet issue, Once we informed, they rectified it.

Location - It is beautiful place with easy access to Main road, Railway station and beach. Safety and privacy is high within the property Hotel - Architecture was really beautiful I love it. Rooms are sizable. Design is beautiful. Even though it is a boutique hotel, all the facilities are there within the room including tea/coffee and bathroom amenities. Bathroom is bit small. But It is fit for purpose. We had all facilities within the room such as Air conditioned room, TV , internet connection. Staff- They are so friendlily, helpful and always smiling Food- Food was great.. Tried lots of seafood.. Recommend to try their sea food platter which is great Cleanness - It is well-maintained hotel. Rooms are cleaned well. Thank you THe Chariot Hikkduwa team. I will see you again.

It was a great stay in The chariot hikkaduwa. While we were booking the hotel we worried a bit as there was no much review about the hotel as it is Newly built hotel . But ,!We were so happy about our selection. Great team with grade hospitality. Always supportive. We had a TV issue and they solved quickly and said sorry thousand times which shows the hospitality for customers. When we ate hoppers I felt the same taste how my mom use to make hoppers . Homey feeling which was great. We love the architecture of the hotel. Highly recommend and we will visit again

We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you chariot team. Food is really good.. We love for spicy food. We tried the fish therapy which was totally free.It’s a beautiful boutique hotel .. star level personal care , clean , team is really friendly, food is amazing , breakfast is really good and I had to skip my lunch (LOL) as it was heavy meal.. very close to all locations including 200m from beach Had an opportunity to attend a cooking class which was organised by hotel which was a great experience.We bought curry power from Srilanka. It’s a calm and beautiful place to relax ..definitely I will visit again nothing
