Black Hills Luxury Suites

The staff was great! Very helpful and quickly to resolved lighting issues we had in our two bedroom suite. The pool areas were clean, the hot tub was hot and working, and there was plenty of seating around both pools. The only negative thoughts on our stay was the comfort of the queen beds in our suite.

Property is confusing to find as it’s actually operated by best western golden spike which is next door. This property looks to be an apartment complex now converted to a hotel. Staff was very friendly. Pool is large and spacious. Room was large but the rooms need some work. Our couch was partially broken the other furniture was old and run down. Overall the experience was good but with a little investment the place can go from good to great.

Rooms was huge. Pool was clean. Always had breakfast and coffee available in the morning.

Pros: It’s did have two bedrooms and a full size fridge, access to all amenities at the best western. Cons: The sofa bed falling apart. Stains on furniture. Smells like it’s had smokers puffing away, mixed with old food. This smell didn’t go away, the entire time we were there. It permeated into anything left in the room. Everything is oldish and outdated. I won’t stay here again.

This is close to all the attractions of the Black Hills, and central to the great motorcycle routes!

The room was nice and clean. Better than we expected, the price was very reasonable. The staff is friendly and the amenities are awesome. Very, well worth the price.

We stayed at

Nice place but could use a makeover. The kitchen supplies need improvement. Should have a new dish sponge for each new guest. Also need designated kitchen towels and paper towels. Couch needs to be replaced. Beds are comfortable and the place was clean other than some dishes that were dirty.

Property was beside a Best Western and shared the pools, hot tub and breakfast service. Worked well for us traveling with Grandkids.

The room that we chose slept six people two queen size beds in separate rooms and a pullout couch full kitchen had a 12 cup coffee pot coffee provided plates, silverware, full fridge perfect mini apartment. One indoor and one outdoor pool and an extremely warm, hot tub. Which is perfect for after riding motorcycle all day in Custer Park.

Was our first time staying in Hill City and was pleased on how big the space was as well as the floor plan of the rooms. Will most definitely come back!

Not good place to stay

We stayed in the luxury suites that are part of the Best Western next door. We had a 2 bedroom apartment that was just okay. Like others said, the furniture needs cleaned/updated, the carpets/trim were dust lined and the pull out bed was not comfortable for our kids. The beds seemed older and the bedding was thin and not great quality. The separate bedrooms were nice and the bathroom was clean and seemed updated, compared to the rest of the unit. Overall, it was okay for the 2 nights we were there and the little time we spent there, but I wouldn’t stay there again.

Besides the staff huffing and puffing whenever we asked for fresh towels or toilet paper, our stay was great! The suite was perfect for our family. Kids loved the pools :) and the location was PERFECT.

Our favorite! Rates are getting a little too steep.

The negatives: apartment had an odor and furniture was very dated.

This place is anything but luxury. Furniture is filthy, holes in curtains, bedding is shabby and should have been thrown away long ago. We were given one towel for 4 people. No service after first night and had to go to the desk again for towels. A big disappointment for the price paid.
