I didn’t like that there was no elevator in service and that I had to walk the stars. I think that I should have had a discount for no elevator

The front desk was not friendly, the experience was terrible!

We had to extend our stay by two nights due to Hurricane Lala. The staff was very accommodating and took care of their guests during a power outage. They went door to door handing out flashlights and checking on everyone. They kept the hotel restaurant open for take-away dinners (cash only) and had the buffet breakfast ready the next morning (the power came back on in the middle of the night). We felt very safe and cared for during a challenging time for the island. We highly recommend this hotel.

The cleaning crew were not as expected at all! I asked one lady if she could clean my room 2 days into the trip and she replied with, maybe the one who comes after me!! I wasn't too impressed with that. No-one came that day to clean, but the next day, I had a few items on the bed, so I walked into a room with a note saying because I had items on the bed they couldn't touch them, I get it.. totally fine, but, nothing else done except emptying the trash, not even the sink or cups cleaned or put more of the creamer and sugar I wanted for my coffee! At least throw away the plastic wrapping from the used creamer!! I do have to say, the restaurant downstairs was fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious. A bit on the pricey side but worth it.

Beautiful resort with ocean and Banyan tree views, a yummy breakfast buffet, and an outdoor pool. Great location by the water and downtown Hilo. We definitely recommend this resort.

Location park and golf course nearby were great Asked for a room with deck, got a room where you are looking at roof top. Was told the hotel was booked. Looked pretty empty to me.

My experience at this property was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, I discovered that my room had a roach infestation. I immediately reported the issue to the front desk, but they told me they were fully booked and could not move me to another room. Instead, they said they would spray the room while I was out. When I returned, the problem had not been resolved. I continued to find roaches, including on my luggage and throughout my personal belongings. This was extremely unpleasant and unacceptable. The room and hallway also had a strong chemical odor after the spraying, mixed with what smelled like old gym socks. The room phone was also broken, adding to the overall lack of maintenance. I understand that unexpected issues can happen, but the way this situation was handled was not acceptable. A guest should not have to stay in a room with an active roach infestation or worry about insects getting into their belongings. Overall, this was a terrible experience, and I would not recommend staying here.

The room needs updating. The light fixture in the bathroom area where the toilet and shower are is tooo low. One of the elevators was not functioning when we were there; had to walk down 5 flights of stairs with my arthritis in my legs. The young girl at the Front Desk when we arrived on 8/5, told us we could upgrade to an ocean view for $30 more, but that there would be no balcony. Then, the older clerk checked and found us an ocean view room with a balcony. Also, that young girl told us the breakfast in the hotel's restaurant would be complimentary, but it was not. It was a $32 buffet and only $10 would be taken off.

Good location on the water and close to the airport Smelly room (maybe the old carpet ?) Wall paper in poor condition.

Friendly staff. Nice location, comfortable beds, clean rooms -Air conditioner was not working and the room we stayed in was hot -shower wasn’t draining

Cheap et mal entretenu

We were offered reusable water bottle that we did use and take with us, the restaurant /bar closed too early for us to get back for a nightcap after dinner in town so we didn't use our "free drink coupons" but nice touch. great view from our balcony, check in staff/front desk/bell person all helpful. the property seems a bit "worn" but oh, those views.....easy parking for our rental car.

The hotel was more run down looking and not clean. Expected more for price.

Room was clean with a beautiful view. The pool was nice and used by all but would be nice to have some covered area for when it's sprinkling or raining to protect towels and such. Having the restaurant downstairs was also fantastic with excellent service. Front desk staff was helpful. Good location.
