Hilo Reeds Bay Hotel

Nothing fancy but convenient to restaurants and shopping. Serves its purpose and the views from our balcony was breathtaking as always. The most affordable hotel in Hilo

The scenery was exceptional. Despite the fact there is no AC, there was still cool breezes and the staff furnished us with additional fans.

It's an older building with charm. The room was very clean and maintained by housekeeping daily. There is a 24 hr. Laundry room on site and the staff is very friendly. Keep in mind that there is no A/C. There's a nice breeze that comes in off the bay and the rooms are equipped with fans. The views are beautiful and the surrounding area is very walkable with parks, shops, and cafes nearby. I will definitely stay again.

The view from the window was amazing!

We stayed here while our power was out due to the storm. Grateful have a warm bed and hot shower, but the WI-FI situation on the property was terrible, and I couldn't do much work as I had hoped. The staff was nice enough, but didn't offer too much of anything other than a standard check-in...

Its location is good near the sea and accessible to the main routes out of town up to Volcano. It feels very basic. No aircon or cooking hob facility in the kitchenette.

This is a dated property. But the staff make up for it. The amenities are solid. The power went out but that was due to the hurricane. They didn't have a generator. That needs to be addressed. I would stay here again.

It was close to the airport and good for a short stay The WiFi is terrible and can only be used in the lobby. No A/C but we were prepared for that.

View is good, room is dirty, no hot water, dust everywhere, obvious signs of water damage to the room, I would pass if I were you…

The photos and description are completely misleading. This property is surrounded by broken down abandoned buildings and the exterior was so run down that we were not even comfortable getting out of the car to check in and look at a room for fear of our car being broken into

We stayed one night. No a/c. Pricey for 1 night. Very nice staff. We had the room at the end so we had a little more airflow with the sliding door open.

Balcony bay view was beautiful! Great price for waterfront.

Exceptional

Good service from staff, clean towels and sheets, Bugs, insects, ants, dust on lights fixtures and windows, old building, like a construction workers motel, internet was bad. Small place for 4 people. NO AC, running fan all night long.

The location near the park and water as well as a good coffee shop and other restaurantsis a great assets to this property.the front desk team was informative. The wifi situation needs addressing television channels, rely on it.Hence there was nothing to watch and you couldn't access it from the third floor which you had to walk up to.Since there is no elevator.

Great view, had a fridge and actual sink and friendly staff. But hotel seems a little outdated. Still uses a key to unlock the door, no key card, no ac but had a ceiling fan and a standing fan, and parking was tight had a little trouble getting out of my stall. And drop off key to check out no check out person until 8am
