Great location! -the breakfast was very cheap. No fruits, not much choice -the rooms had a dump, closed odor maybe coming from the AC. No possibility to open the window -you needed to have the noisy AC on all the time otherwise it was impossibly hot

Excellent location. Well kept space, and lots of select your own in room amenities at the front desk, including skincare. Really lovely Japanese breakfast every morning. I went a couple days easily without lunch with the hearty and filling choices at breakfast. My room was a bit on the traditionally small and outdated side. While still perfectly functional, lack of countertop in the bathroom was a challenge. Thankfully the nice desk space in the room had a mirror and good light.

The hotel has a great location very close to the castle as well as the shopping/dining street. It's a bit of a walk from the train station (but so is the castle) but it's probably the best in the area. Overall hotel is well maintained and the staff is friendly. Good option for a one or two night stay and you can see everything. Rooms are small but that's standard for Japan.

Location was great and staff was very friendly. The deck has a stunning view of the castle and the value for the rooms is great. While the rooms are compact, there was more than enough room for the two of us.

Location was great! It was walking distance from the train station, the castle, and the arcades with tons of shops and restaurants. The room was a little small but that is to be expected in Japan. It didn't bother me.

The staff are lovely, the rooms are spacious (especially the bathrooms!), and the location is superb. As a bonus, you can enjoy a lovely view of the castle from the terrace.

Highly recommend. Great view from the terrace to the castle and a close walk there too. Amazing staff. So friendly and helpful for the parking. Very clean. Would stay again. Nothing. All was good.

Convenient A bit smelly when I enter the room

Everything about property was lovely. The room was clean. Loved the terrace with the night view of Himeji castle. Check-in was quick and easy. The air-conditioning unit could’ve used a little bit more attention

Location Booking

Location and view of HIMEJI Castle Forgot to grab pajamas, which was located downstairs by the lobby-front. Too late to go downstairs after taking bath.

The location was perfect. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Everything was perfect The bed was extremely firm and another pillow would be more comfortable, but I'd recommend the hotel, I enjoyed myself short stay

Restroom smelled like backed up sewage, which made the whole room smell, wifi worked for less than 1 hrs and never turned back on, restroom was very cold.

It was a great deal. Don't expect 5 star treatment, but you can appreciate it being in the heart of Okoyama. My room was small, but that was ok because I was a 7 minute walk from Himeji castle. The largest castle complex in Japan. Also I was surrounded by restuarants. The parking is very limited for cars and they fill up wuickly. As for motorcycles (which I rode my motorcycle there), you can park underneath the entrance awning for free! Just do NOT block the door or the walking path, park against the wall or the bushes. You can only fit about 5 motorcycles, though, so hurry up. When I got there, there was only 4 motorcycles including myself. Overall, a great stay for a lone traveler exploring Japan. BIG PERK: On the first floor there are 2 coin operated laundry machines. They only take 100¥ coins, but that's easy to break at a nearby convenience store. I was so appreciative since I was 5 days into my trip and was low on clean laundry.
