The bedding was made, but threw the covers back to find someone's dirty socks still between the sheets! Was filthy, hadn't been vacuumed and chairs were ripped... I immediately told the girl at check in that I couldn't stay there and ended up leaving.

It was unlike any other Best Value inn I have ever stayed at and I will leave it at that

I drove away and took a nap at a rest area on Interstate 35.

At first we were glad to see the room had carpeting. Yet, not long after, we noticed that the floor was soaked in places. We were so tired that we went to sleep. We woke up early not feeling good, lungs hurting. Got ready and packed up as fast as we could. We discovered that the must have leaked all night. The carpet was soaked across half the floor. There was much debris under the cooler. I told the new owner/manager that the cooler was leaking the night before, carpet was soggy and that my lungs hurt. He apologized but would not refund our money. After we reported the condition to our third party reservation company, they contacted that owner and he treated our reservation company clerk rudely by screaming at her. Find another place in that town. It was our worst hotel experience in our many years of travel.

Checked in and never stayed. The property was filthy dirty. Trash in the parking area and litter in the hallways. Room was not cleaned. Toothpaste in the bathroom sink and wallpaper peeling off the walls. The window couldn't be closed because of the air conditioning vent pipe and the exterior door keypads were smashed. Doors were propped open with a chair for anyone to access the building. Looked to me like everyone congregated outside were homeless and jobless. There was a note on the dresser when we went in the room that said "Bad people are up here! Don't trust anyone." We left the premises immediately after. Told the front desk person all this and they didn't even care. Told them I wanted a refund and to this day have not received one. The stay was for July 25th. Took many photos to show the condition of the hotel. Look for other hotels in the area and avoid this place at all costs.

NOT a place to bring young children. Very unsafe. More like a run down motel to me. Dont book here.

Room was very spacious and comfortable. Quiet area. The shower was very hard to get adjusted to a comfortable temperature. One of my rooms had a wet floor near the air conditioner unit.

Bedding stained, hallways smelled like mold, bed was falling apart, mold on bathroom ceiling, plastic bags on power cords, carpet ripped up, wall acesss to pipes not covered and garbage between bed and nightstand.

I travel frequently, and unfortunately, my stay at Americas Best Value Inn Hinckley was among my worst hotel experiences. Upon arrival, my first room had no working air conditioning despite the hot weather. Tony provided a portable AC that required the window to remain partially open, which prevented it from closing. This raised safety concerns, particularly given the wooded surroundings; I almost had a panic attack because of my partially opened window, which posed a security risk. The portable AC, placed near the bedside, was ineffective, so I was sweating all through. It was an exhausting night. I was later moved to another room where the air conditioning functioned properly, which was a relief. However, the room smells badly, and the next morning I discovered a section of the carpet was soaked with water. The bathroom was so dirty that I had to request cleaning surplies to clean them myself. It is especially disappointing because the property is in a good location and has significant potential. I observed other guests encounter similar issues and leave soon after arriving. Management should invest in maintenance and improvements to address these ongoing problems. I am giving two stars primarily because the maintenance staff member who assisted me was exceptional. He was kind, professional, and genuinely tried to resolve every issue. I appreciated his efforts.

Nothing at all First of all, booking .com shows a complete different hotel when booking. Very deceptive. The place is nasty. Rundown is a nice word. Huge pot holes in parking llot, it smells gross, the hallways are not vacuumed,, the front desk manager is extremely rude, there was not even shower towels, there was poop in the toilet, the internet did not work, there was some disgusting looking stuff on my sheets, NO AIR CONDITIONING in over 81 degree weather and there were people outside my window at 3 am with flashlights. And booking.com has no customer service support. You tell us to talk to them and they tell us to speak with you. Noone helps.

Nothing. This place should be shut down it is riddled with mold. Do not book here. Mold, people were found in the room. Staff blame under new management but are very aware just lazy. Flies in the room. Dirty. Ceiling falling apart.

No towels in the room. Air conditioning in room was not very cool. Opened curtains to find small fenced area with old sign, waste basket, boards. Tv remote needed new batteries all these may seem small but when your traveling and want to find a nice comfortable place to stay and all this happens it is frustrating especially a hidden charge $$$$

Everything was clean and the staff was helpful. The bed was just rock hard so sleep wasn't the best.

Our room was full of flies and mosquitoes. The air conditioner was leaking all over the floor so there was mold building up all over the carpet and the wall. Absolutely disgusting and unsafe!

This room.is well cleaned. Facility needs lot of remodeling which I understand.

Convenient & not too crowded location for exploring nearby parks. Love that it's close to the highway, a local Tobie's, and Caribou for morning coffee fix. Sustainable toiletries choices too!
