Hanting Hotel Ho Chi Minh City Downtown (汉庭国际胡志明市中心酒店)

The hotel was under construction which we weren't made aware of or we would not have booked it. So there was additional noise, dirt, our room was in pretty rough shape with holes in walls with wires, footprints and handprints on the walls. Check in time was 2pm and our room still was not ready.

If you are planning to travel with your family and children, make sure to read this before booking any hotel. 1 - The hotel is still under construction after several months, but it really didn't bother us because construction mainly was at the level 1 or outside. 2 - The hotel is located in District 1, which is perfect, because many iconic places in the city centre you want to see are in District 1, so getting a Grab is very cheap, around $3 each side. 3 - Make sure to set up the Grab App before your travel. It is very convenient and cheap. 4 - Also, another benefit of being in District 1 is, when you book a tour the you get picked up from your hotel, but if you get a hotel somewhere else, then you need to go to the Tour office or pick up points by yourself. 5 - There is a tour agency next to the hotel that you can book our tour ( make sure to bargain). 6 - Also, you can find lots of restaurants around the hotel that you can find just by walking a few minutes. I recommend taking your time and walking around the hotel or the next street you will find many places. 7 - If you search on Google Maps, you can find any services around yourself include massage and laundry services that are very cheap. 3 kilos wash and dry around $5 AUD. 8 - The hotel breakfast was very good and fresh, you get sweets, different local food, a western breakfast, tea, coffee, juices, and daily fruits. Also,o they have an onsite kitchen that can cook for you omelettes, eggs, or even Pho (Vietnamese soup ). In general, Kids liked it and it was very handy for families with kids. 9 - The room was clean with daily service and daily tea and coffee. 10 - The hotel has a restaurant for lunch and dinner, but we didn't use it because they had very high prices in comparison to other places. 11- Also, there is a swimming pool that you can use, plus a rooftop bar with a great view at night, where you can sit and enjoy your drink. 12- The staff are very friendly. The showers are very short and you need to sit and use them, because it is in bath bathtub. Please make it suitable for everyone, not for very short people. Please pay attention to the details and the cleaning room. It is average, and my rating will be 3 stars for this hotel.

The bed was really hard

Good value, but quite ran down. Kids loved the roof top pool, but it was heavily chlorinated & tile steps to & from it very slippery when wet. Toilets were upstairs from pool. Very worrying- but our group survived with any incident. Breakfast buffet was excellent! Ran down, and amidst upgraded. Currently no foyer/reception area due to refurbishment that we were not aware of. No where to wait for taxi/grab except on very busy street. 3 bedroom apartment was two separate rooms adjoined by small hall with light that was on all night, we had to use suit cases to prop open doors a little at night. Shower heads didn’t fix into place- forcing you to hold the head making hair washing very awkward. Hardest beds ever. Only one of our 3 beds had a mattress topper to add a little softness

I loved quite a few things about this hotel . I loved the area as it was at the end of district 1 which gave magnificent views of the city at night from the roof top pool also from the roof top bar. As well when you step out of your hotel to order a grab taxi (a must have app for here) you do not get harassed by people trying to see you things . The staff were exceptionally friendly . The room was clean and didn’t have any mould fumes perfect for me as I am an asthmatic. The roof top bar staff were very welcoming and very honest one night they made a mistake by over charging me they realised it and approached me and told me and gave me all the money back . It says a non smoking hotel but you are allowed to smoke at the roof top bar and the pool area . There are some renovations happening to make more facilities on the bottom floors but this did not bother me at all I would definitely stay here again .

Great breakfast, very friendly staff and super accommodating on our last day checking out before flying later in the day. Would highly rexommend the hotel! The only minor thing was ongoing renovations at the time but it was mainly exterior

Staff were poor,breakfast was awful,the bread looked like it had been out for days,when asked for pancakes got an abrupt no more.our room was very basic and had a leak in the ceiling which resulted in water everywhere.the only good thing about this hotel is the views and the rooftop bar staff were ok.

- Wi-Fi was decent. - The Breakfast buffet was fine, but repetitive if staying for a week or more. - The small pool was nice, but with only four loungers that are so uncomfortable you can feel the metal bars through them. - Good location with plenty of great restaurants nearby and not far from the busy center. - Helpful staff, though their English proficiency is very poor or nonexistent. - The restaurant manager frequently complained about his staff in front of guests, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. - Cash-Only Policy! No option to charge drinks, food, or laundry to the room. Everything must be paid in cash immediately, which is inconvenient. - Noisy Rooms! The hotel is under renovation, with drilling noises from early morning until late at night. Additionally, outside construction goes on 24/7, and even water flushing from upper floors is so loud it feels like it will pour down on you. - The restaurant is overpriced with a poor selection and is uncomfortably windy. I do not recommend it. Instead, the restaurant across the street (MOC) is much better and more affordable. - The alley leading to the hotel is cluttered with construction materials, and you need to watch out for dog mess on the way in.

The room looked nice. Location was handy. The bathroom had nowhere to hang towels or wet clothes. There was no shower screen so the shower sprayed water everywhere. Very little privacy between room and bathroom. Bed was like lying on a plank of wood. Gym was not usable as hotel is under major construction. Staff weren't very helpful. Lunch was expensive.

Pool and breakfast were awesome, staff very friendly and good english First room had poor WiFi, but I was upgraded . Second room had awesome WiFi.

The staff were amazing, but the hotel was bad, under refurbishment need of TLC .When l read the reviews before booking there , don't be fussy because you will be disappointed, breakfast not ok and you won't use the pool.

Hotel staff were attentive and friendly The hotel was a bit dated but I understand it is going through a refurbishment process so I'd imagine this will be cured in the near future
