Nothing - it was amazing!

it’s very very beautiful. the daily breakfast is delicious, we had the chicken pho, stir fry noodle, and banana pancakes. the room was clean and the AC was good. the owners are really nice and gave us good recommendations and were very helpful. you can rent bikes at the property since it’s located a bit away from the town but still accessible

Very pretty and secluded Nothing

We enjoyed our stay here. We could rent scooters and get gas right from the hotel ( they also had bicycles.)We had our laundry done here at a reasonable rate and it came back smelling fresh and clean. It was a nice quiet place to stay and comfy beds and good wifi. Lots of hot water and the pressure was good. English was well spoken here ( enough to understand). They gave us a map of the area and explained in detail what to see and how and how long to get there. Very friendly and kind staff. You could walk all around from Trang An Retreat in beautiful landscapes full of nature. Loads of restaurants and coffee shops all within walking distance. Breakfast was eggs and bread or soup or pancakes and always with coffee, juice, water and fruit. Our room had a strong musty smell. I'm sure this is due to the humid environment and we have run across this a few other times in Vietnam.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when we needed some first aid. It was cold and damp when we arrived and we glad of the heater in the room. Quiet location. Away from the noise of the city. Easy cycle to boats and mua cave. Several restaurants in walking distance. Ran out of hot wAter once. Breakfast choices a little limited for a several day stay but the food was good.

I had an amazing stay here at Trang An Retreat! The staff were absolutely amazing, so kind, so accommodating and very helpful. It is a family run business. The food was cooked fresh and was excellent! They did a very great job organizing all my activities and transportation! They made suggestions where I could save money, offered suggestions of other places I might like to visit and were flexible when I wanted to add or cancel something last minute. The grounds are relaxing with the trees, mountain behind and hammocks everywhere. The bathroom was pretty decent for a remote area and the bathroom sink even had a filter on it for the water. Of the three places I stayed, its the only one where I saw that. The bed was very comfortable! Again, I stayed two other places…and this place had a soft comfortable bed while the others were rather hard. When I left, they walked me to the vehicle, helped with luggage and gave me a free bottle of water for my journey. They were extremely organized and on top of everything and I appreciated that. I would most definitely stay here again and would not have mind staying another night or two! Honestly, there’s not much I didn’t like. I would say travelers should be aware that it is a boutique hotel and family run, so meals weren’t served all day. But there were other places around to eat. This is not a complaint, just something to note. The limo bus transportation they arranged for me was a little rough (I wasnt prepared that I would be exiting and getting on another van multiple times before reaching my destination, and the last van did not have good air conditioning). But that’s not their fault because they don’t run it, they just work with them. So again, just something for travelers to note should they choose to use the limo bus service the hotel coordinates. Other than that, my stay was perfect!

Mountains and water all around. Yet a clean comfortable place run by a nice family, and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The staff helped arrange every trip and tour and greeted us daily before and after each tour, showing interest in our daily enjoyment. They were also flexible when our dates changed. The room is clean and big, modern but feels like part of nature too. Water pressure and hot water fantastic. Breakfast home made and amazing watermelon juice! They rent motorbikes or bicycles. I would return here. Nothing.

This place is a real gem. It’s owned by a very kind and helpful family who took great care of us. They were so friendly and went out of their way to assist us with every part of our trip. The property is so peaceful and located well for key sights of Ninh Bihn - all about a 15 minute taxi away. A great getaway for anyone looking for a relaxing oasis to use as a base.

loved the location. It was close to every tourist attraction. There were great places to eat nearby. The staff was great. Did not like that the ac turned off when we removed the card. It took very long for the room to cool when we got back.

Marvelous place in the middle of nature. All staff have been super nice and organised trips to get to the accomodation and back (even with last minute requests).

Quiet spot that's ideal for families. Lively Tam Coc nearby if you want more nightlife. Beautiful surroundings. Nice restaurants and bars within walking distance. Lovely, helpful staff Nothing not to like

Really lovely place to stay in Trang An, away from the main road but connected down a dirt track to other homestays and restaurants in a beautifal and lush mountainous valley. It's a quick bike ride to the Trang An riverboats, and just a bit more to the historic Hoa Lu capital site, and there is amazing accessible countryside all around this area. The retreat is just like the pictures, simple clean rooms, a lovely garden ambience, and a good swimming pool. But also the people running it are really kind and genuine and it's fairly easy to socialise with other guests around the pool area if that's what you want to do. Really, it's all very chilled. It looks like there's development of nearby land, it'd be a shame to see the tranquillity of this place spoiled by over development. And to be honest, the coffee at breakfast is nothing to write home about .....

Exceptional

This is a lovely, quiet property, away from the karaoke and crowds. In a rural area, but many restaurants within walking distance, as is the Trang An Landscape Complex. There are bikes and motorbikes available to rent, and a nice swimming pool. Great choice of dishes at the included breakfast. Our room was serviced daily, and was large and comfortable. Fantastic shower and aircon. We would definitely stay again No complaints

Everything was great, the staff were super friendly and went out of their way whenever possible. The food and breakfast were excellent, the location was lovely and quiet and yet easy to get to other places from and the room and pool were very good and clean. Nothing

We loved the location, the family running the place are very kind. Our room was clean, the breakfast was very nice, my husband loved the pancakes I loved the omelete made fresh. The pool was a little cool. We had the staff order a taxi for a early morning pick up for Hanoi airport, everything went smoothly. We rented a moped from the facility, it was all very easy. The staff made all the local recommendations of things to do. We had a wonderful stay here. Thank you to all the staff . Jen and John:)
