Gem Riverside Hotel Hoi An

Great pool, rooms were great too. Staff were very friendly. Special mention for Ruby who was very friendly & accommodating. I also loved the fact that of all the hotels we stayed at in Vietnam, this was one hotel that had larger coffee mugs.

Fabulous staff were very helpful. A short walk to the town center and the hotel is on a quiet street. Local restaurants close by.

It was near the center of town not very far at all. The hotel is like a horseshoe shape with the swimming pool at the bottom it's focal point. All I heard from 7:30 in the morning was these screaming and I can't even get to describe how the little kids screaming at the pool acting like animals while their parents just encourage it the worst part about it is the staff at the hotel does absolutely nothing about it. When I complUain to the staff her response was very empathetic but she says they do this all night long I guess I didn't hear it all night long. She says when she tells the guests to settle down not use the pool before 10:00 according to her no one listens to her so what we have here is terrible terrible hotel management who cannot control something as simple as this. There is no reason for all the screaming and all the carrying on when your door and your balcony is literally a few feet away I have children I understand but I never let my kids act like animals and the hotels that I stay at the quality ones if I did somebody from the hotel would stop me the woman at the hotel all she gave was excuses why she can't do anything about it. If you don't mind waking up early then this is a good hotel if you want to sleep in late just go somewhere else the staff doesn't know what they're doing the design of the hotel is horrible just go somewhere else. I ended up leaving after my first night I was refunded my money but I still think the math and how she would the money refunded me was not in my favor

This hotel really is a gem. We arrived to meet Ruby who is the heart and soul of this hotel. She made us feel like we had arrived home, nothing was too much trouble. We were traveling with the kids and so a pool was a must to cool off and we often had it to ourselves. The room was the biggest we have had in Asia. The staff are all so friendly and will go out of their way to ensure you have the best stay in the hotel but also in Hoi An. Ruby gave us great recommendations for where to eat and visit for the best price. This hotel is in a great location just across a bridge out of the hustle and noise but easy to walk or cycle to the main area. The hotel has bikes you can borrow plus there are these little gold cart things which fits the whole family and are a set price. I highly recommend staying here in it’s quiet Location with easy access to all the great things Hoi An has to offer. Thank you for treating us like part of the family! We even had a lost phone disaster and the staff were driving us around to try and locate it and we did!! I couldn’t fault it

Location, value, clealiness, staff, instruction, bicycle, swimming pool. Food offered rather limited. Spaghetty and pizza are not recommended.

Quiet. Large rooms and friendly staff 700 m from the old quarters so a lot of grab will not pick you up. You can easily walk it or bike it, but if you spend all day walking around in the heat and want to take a grab back, you might be waiting for a while.

A fantastic hotel. Great breakfast. Beautiful pool. Bikes were provided free of charge and were a great way to explore the area. The staff were wonderful (a huge thanks to Ruby at the front desk who was so kind and helpful).

Breakfast was quite good although was virtually the same every day. Easy walking distance into old town. Large pool in nice setting, unfortunately the weather was quite cool while we were there so didn't get to take advantage of it. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Pillows were a little hard

The stay was really great. The rooms were big and clean and good breakfast buffet. The staff was incredible and super helpful. We even got an upgrade. We got a lot of recommendations and help that made our stay in Hoi a great. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

Staff was great, rooms were spacious. Hotel itself was nicely built, looked fancy. There was a possibility to get things washed for reasonable price. The egg station at breakfast was great. It was dirty, and not like the dust or anything, but rather curtains had stains, the bed sheets had stains and towels were not the cleanest. Easy things to change in order to make it look clean. Our friends woke up every morning around 6 with rooster, but I guess it depends how slight sleeper you are.
