Room was clean, bus stops and shops are near, the pantry was convenient. Best of all was the staff. I had some confusion about the pre-authorization amount and while Booking.com's customer service was completely unhelpful, South Nest's staff was quick to help. None in particular.

Staff was helpful. Complimentary luggage hold on last day was good. The room was quite small, and moving around the furniture could be a bit challenging. Basic amenities such as soap and a toilet brush were not provided. While the room itself was very minimal, a security deposit was still required, which felt unnecessary given the limited furnishings. Additionally, the towels provided had visible stains. The hotel required a credit card for the deposit and would not accept a debit card, which was inconvenient. The location is approximately 20 minutes from the city center by bus, but travel time can extend to up to an hour during heavy traffic. This makes access to the city somewhat unpredictable and inconvenient. When making the booking, I selected the “pay at property” option, yet the full amount was authorized in advance. This was misleading, as it would be more reasonable to authorize only a no-show or cancellation fee, if applicable. After checkout, the hotel requested an additional payment for a tax that had not been charged initially, which added to the confusion and gave the impression of disorganization. The staff spoke good English and communicated clearly, though the overall tone felt more corporate than welcoming. Overall, the hotel has a dated early-2000s feel, which does not align with expectations of contemporary hospitality.

Good concept, nice staff, clean and comfortable room While out of their control, one of the elevators was not working, and had long queues to get on and off the lift. I mean 20 people deep. one day I had to walk down the 12th flights of stairs or I would be late for an appointment. However, on the third day, one of the staff showed me a different elevator! Why so late? Other than that I enjoyed every aspect of it.

This property suits both long and short stays. I will return and highly recommend it. (1) Convenience - With bus stops right in front of the property, I can get to different parts of HK (e.g. Causeway on one bus trip in less than 40 minutes) without getting up and down on the MTA escalators. The closest MTA station (with a nearby shopping mall) is only 8 minutes away and Aberdeen Center (for more varieties of restaurants) is within reach via many bus lines and mini vans that run frequently. (2) Full kitchen - There is pantry on each floor shared by less than 15 units. (1) While rooms are ideal for single travelers, they are a bit small for two or more persons. This is common in HK and the room size is reasonable at the rate, and (2) Noise during late hours (say after 8 or 9 pm while check in) for those rooms near the lift lobby and lift congestion caused by the occasional group tours (both check in and check out), a minor issue which is manageable by avoiding these hours

only had 2 elevator. At 7:30pm on, you can expect about 200 group tour coming to check in. You need to use the elevator at the back, but it had over 30 floors high. The staffs at the front desk very helpful.

Clean, comfortable, relaxing stay. Modern building and the room size is okay for Hong Kong. Shower and bed were clean. When asked the staff, they also change the bed sheets. Overall, comfortable for long stays. The location is far from main Hong Kong attractions, not near any Subway station, and the bus takes too much time to get there. Elevator works slow, at the time we were staying there, one elevator was broken.
