Great location, only five minute walk to the beach. Next to the hotel, there are multiple food options; breakfast, lunch and diner. Great view from the room and nice to be able to fill up your water bottles with cold water for free! Cheapest parking in the neighbourhood (that we could find) The room had a funky smell when you just walked in. Slow elevator, but three of them, so it was okay!

Good sized room with a nice balcony. Clean. Staff was friendly. Bathroom was clean but old looking with chipped bathtub and low water pressure. Main problem was extremely poor elevator service. I can’t emphasize enough that it took 5-10 minutes to get from our room on the 10th floor to the lobby. This hotel offers good value. It’s across the street from the Hawaiian village complex so easy food and shopping. With a new elevator and some cosmetic improvements I could rate it higher

Room looks like pics and has lots of space!

The parking is tight but you can make it work and the rooms viewing the beach are nice.

Location was within walking distance to many restaurants and to the beach. Very rundown, dirty, and everything was constantly damp. This is not because it’s a tropical location. I’ve vacationed at 12 different tropical locations and have never had this issue. The money in my purse was damp in my wallet. It was so gross. The elevator was so incredibly slow. It was a minimum 5-10 minute wait, and was faster to walk up 7 flights of stairs than wait. The parking garage was a gamble. Most spots are reserved. Even if you paid for parking, you may have to park off site if there are no spots open. Cleaning is only 1 time per stay, but you can request if needed. Requested new towels in the morning because they would not dry and we got them around 8pm after we called a second time. Pool is very small with only a couple lounge chairs. Pictures and description of hotel DO NOT match at all with what you will be getting yourself into.

The staff was genuinely great to talk to. I know people can make it hard to be kind, but they were lovely. The doors kept slamming extremely loudly. And every time one would slam it would shake the walls whether it be from the room above us or the neighboring rooms on the same floor.

Parking sucks and elevator wasn’t working

I like that it’s close to waikiki area. Everything is walkable. And also close to the mall It’s loud and noisy at night. Bathroom, facilities, beddings are old and it’s expensive stat.

Slowest elevators I’ve ever seen in a hotel. Other than that it was comfortable and one of the more reasonable places to stay in Waikiki.

this hotel is a great value compared to the expensive big name hotels in Waikiki, so i want to temper my expectations appropriately. Check in was good, and there's a convenient parking garage. The elevators are slow, but again, this isn't the Ritz. I appreciated the laundry facilities in the parking area. I spent one night here before a longer stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village close by, and it's a great way to begin a trip, especially if you're arriving on a later flight and want to save some money.

The parking it was really bad and I think they charge too much for parking daily The location of the property is really good

Good area. Close to a lot of places.

I think that the Aqua Palms is a "sleeper" in the grass.By that I mean-Parking was always available when coming back late at night.Egress from the hotel was easy with light to no traffic most of the time.Being that the hotel is on the "edge"of waikiki,it was easy to get to the freeways and shopping centers.

Ver nice Hotel across Hilton Hawaiian, great location. Close to restaurants. Walking distance to beach

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Bed was comfortable. Room was above expectations for the price in terms of size, on par with big name chain hotels. Saw one pillbug crawling into the room through the doorway. Otherwise no complaints on cleanliness. The staff was adequately friendly and professional. Like all the reviews state, the elevator is old and anxiety-inducing. It never failed on me, but the floor readout panel bugs out every time and it seems to take an unusually long amount of time for the elevator to level off at floor level. The foyer/coffee/wardrobe portion of the room was quite dark. There may have been a light switch I missed that was not immediately obvious. There is no obvious drop off/pick up spot for the hotel. There are several ominous NO PARKING/STOPPING AT ANY TIME signs posted along the street at the front of the hotel, and no access from the back. I ended up being dropped off in a parking lot behind the hotel and walking through the adjacent Ramada parking lot with my luggage to check in.
