The place was closed dont book there

Although Expedia made a reservation for us the hotel was closed on arrival. It has been closed for a month and will be for at least another month according to workers there.

We booked this hotel and arrived at 1130p from Charlotte airport only to find a sign on the door stating, "!!!ATTENTION!!! We are closed. Please contact Choice Hotel Customer Service for reservation concerns. 18003008800." The number was disconnected, Expedia representative was also rude and unhelpful when I called them to change reservation or confirm cancellation. Looking into the lobby from outside, we could see considerable amounts of trash spewed everywhere, broken furniture and an aggressive occupant inside that yelled at my son. Again, this was all after 11:00PM. Expedia made no attempt to make this right for the safety concerns or inconvenience. I had to call multiple representatives to even ensure I'd be refunded. Very unsatisfied with support from hotel and expedia on this one.

Hotel was not open to anyone in the public. I was unable to check in or stay. I was not notified of the closing before hand either.

Expedia allowed me to book a room for an out of town guest only to find out that the hotel was closed when my guest went to check in. 11:30pm after an hours long drive for us to scramble finding a room at another hotel & me on the phone for an hour attempting to get a refund. Will NEVER use Expedia again!!

Booked online with Expedia to get to hotel and ir was CLOSED. A note taped on front of door to call 800# for choice hotels. I called and was on phone for almost an Hour to find out no rooms available for the night. Tired to get a representative from EXPEDIA to help and was left on a hold for a CHAT. Spent the night in my truck with my daughter and an 8 week old.

Booked the room through Expedia finally got to the room about 11 pm just to find out the hotel was shut down. Completely closed for remodel. Expedia took my payment and sent me confirmation just to get to a completely shut down hotel. Could not find another room for 100 miles completely HORRIBLE experience. Actually had a hotel worker sitting in the hotel parking lot just to tell people that they are shut down. How is this even acceptable?

Unable to find any positives as the hotel was shut down. An unknown person came out to say it was “being remodeled”. There was NO ACTIVITY indicating anything was being done. 2 cars in the handicap parking and NOTHING else. Has to scramble to find other accommodations that would accept our pet. Very disappointed in this booking. We even received a confirmation stating that we were “ all set “ after making the reservation!

Room dirty sheets had stains. You had to go upstairs for breakfast. Elevator was broken .Door for room would not close properly. Overall I will possibly not stay in a Quality inn again. Everything.
