For a Westin, the breakfast is not really up to the game comparing to some boutique hotels in JiaoXi.

Good design, beautiful

Tucked away in a quiet and seemingly rural part of Yilan. Outdoor onsen was amazing. They also have a decent in-room bath that you can run yourself. Breakfast buffet was comprehensive and mostly delicious. Staff were friendly and warm. They even serve up free hotel supper at night, which is perfect after a soak in the outdoor onsen! Nothing to complain about except that the bidet did not always seem to work.

Excellent breakfast, rooms were spacious and bed was excellent. Loved the small hot spring tub in the room! It was quite far off from central Yilan.

The resort's family-friendly amenities were a highlight, particularly the small but charming parent-child playroom, which quickly became my children’s favorite spot. Despite its modest size, the playroom was well-equipped, clean, and thoughtfully designed, ensuring the kids had a fantastic time. The swimming pool, though not large, stood out for its remarkably clean water quality. I was particularly impressed by the waterfall feature, which was beautifully maintained without any trace of green algae—a rare achievement that reflects the high standards of upkeep at this property. The resort’s verdant surroundings create a tranquil atmosphere, perfect for relaxation. The staff’s professionalism and courteous service also left a lasting impression, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. While our experience was overwhelmingly positive, I did find the children’s facilities somewhat limited. Aside from the playroom, swimming pool, and a DIY craft area, there were fewer options for family activities compared to similar resorts. For instance, the availability of electric cars and bicycles for kids was not sufficient, which could be expanded to enhance the variety of recreational options.

The hotel is stunning. I was particularly impressed by the space and comfort of my room, with private onsen on the patio. Staff is very kind and helpful. Japanese restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced for the price. The spa is fantastic too. There isn't much to do on foot around, but people come there mostly to enjoy the facilities of the great resort. Free bikes to rent and at least 3 konbini on walking distance

Comfortable Quality of food in the restaurants, housekeepjng was not good, no frequent shuttle bus service, too noisy at night because of the nature

The location of the hotel is close to the cemetery. No wonder there are so many funeral home. They do have 711 and family mart. So I guess that’s ok? Bed bugs Poor service Definitely does NOT live up to the name Westin. Not even close

It's very well built, good for families but also well designed for a couples getaway. We stayed the weekend in the Garden room that has the outdoor bath with natural hot spring water which was nice. The room has excellent sound proofing and AC. The bathroom was very large and I liked the side shower accessible to the outside bath area. The buffet restaurant and bar was good too! The staff speaks little English which of course it's not too bad, but the biggest problem was the CONSTANT phone calls before and during my stay. Why do they need to call me so many times??? Very annoying and never seen that happen before in any other hotel.

I love that this resort is very family-friendly. The room is good, the bed especially. This place is good for relaxing and recharging after all the stresses from the city life. The breakfast spread can be improved. It is not bad, but it can be better.

really comfortable family friendly resort. the outdoor public hotspring is wonderful! my daughter loved it. the private outdoor bath attracts a lot of bugs so you’re better off going to the public one. the staff are absolutely lovely, esp the kitchen!
