The hotel has historic roots going back to the 18th century and Louis the XVI, beautifully renovated and comfortable. The staff was welcoming and gracious and full of helpful tips for restaurants and enjoying the island via bike. The breakfasts were exceptional, such fun to enjoy each morning. We stayed 5 nights. Kudos to the staff.

Everything! Large room with The Most Comfortable bed we slept in during our month of traveling. The Bar was relaxing and sophisticated, met a few different people over cocktails. Staff was friendly and Helpful - when a Transportation Strike changed our plans. They helped with restaurants etc Nothing.

First rate accommodation. Excellent breakfasts. Helpful staff.

Lovely hotel very near to the little Port, shops and eateries. Exceptionally clean and welcoming, with a very relaxed atmosphere We didn’t realise that we had booked an atypical room which basically was a bathroom downstairs with a bedroom up a very steep staircase. Not at all what we had expected and it did lessen our enjoyment of our stay.

Everyone had a great time!
-
Great location - breakfast expensive no continental option and bar shut but the room and staff were excellent.

Hotel was sparkly clean and the staff outstanding Nothing

Superb

Very quaint French style residence in the middle of the beautiful town of St Martin del Re. Easy walk to shops, port, bike hire, beach. We simply lived the charm of this hotel! Breakfast at the property is expensive

Good parking. Very helpful staff. Good position in St Martin. Shower was poor. Dated bathroom no where to put toiletries. Terrible nights sleep with loads of Mosquitoes, Bedding too hot. Breakfast room too small and very cramped.

Staff were wonderful, without exception. Great location. Super duper breakfasts. Nothing

Property has a lot of character, charm, and privacy. Location very close to the port area, is great. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Pool and garden are great place to unwind and cool off after a couple of hours of cycling. Appreciated the 4 electric vehicle charging posts also! Our room was in a historic listed building, hence no air conditioning. But the room had a good fan!

La Baronnie is superb - the rooms, bar, pool and gardens are all stunning . And the staff are incredible - they cannot do enough to help you and make your stay extra special .

The hotel has a charming reception team who all spoke excellent English (Annabel's was near faultless) and all of whom went out of their way to help with restaurant bookings, cycle hire advice etc. The location of our room, the standalone "Pavilion Jardin", close to the beautiful garden was a bonus. Whilst it overlooked the pool on one side, this was not an issue as the pool shuts at 7pm, and the pool users were very considerate. Air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and a spacious bathroom made for a very comfortable stay overall. The extra charge for parking may seem a bit steep but given the limited availability of spaces in the streets around, definitely worth paying for. (We hardly used our car in the 5 days we were there - we explored almost entirely on foot or by bicycle - but had driven down from St Malo. If flying to La Rochelle, you would not need a car.) It doesn't detract from the overall rating, but breakfast, at E25/head, felt rather expensive, so we only ate there once (the scrambled eggs were, however, superb!) There is a great boulangerie, which also serves coffee etc, a stone's throw away by the port, and as breakfast is not included in the room price, that is an easy alternative.

Exceptional

Staff go above and beyond and made us feel very welcome

Love the history of the building and way it has been tastefully restored That whilst they don’t accept dogs to stay the owners have a dog who rules the roost and also barks at men. The owners seem oblivious to its presence all around the hotel.

Love this hotel and the addition of the swimming pool is a great asset.
