It was a clean beautifully landscaped stay, room & pool area… though not much privacy if that’s what you’re looking for. Nice to stroll around taking pictures, breakfast was great, workers friendly! Beautiful, clean, friendly place but I was glad I did not book a room with an outside hot tub as there is not much privacy with most of them. The pedestrian walkway is right out front so if you’re at the pool everyone walking by can see you. Worth mentioning if you want privacy but seems common in most parts of Santorini. The very small frig provided was full of “for sale” drinks which I would have preferred to buy/stock my own but not much room to do so.

Everything!!! The location is perfection! Unbelievable view, but just far enough from Thira and the crowds that it was quiet and peaceful. The property is stunning and pristine. Absolutely nothing.

We loved everything about our stay!! The staff were helpful and kind. We had breakfast everyday overlooking the deep blue water. The pool was a great way to cool off after long hikes. Plenty of lounge beds and umbrellas. The location is between Oia and Fira with many restaurants and cocktail bars very close. The rooms were spacious and well maintained. It would have been nice if the breakfast gave a bit more variety each morning.

Good stay for a romantic getaway. We did 3 nights, location was ideal and the view was amazing. Very walkable to everything you need. Breakfast buffet was delicious everyday, lots of variety. Highly recommend doing a catamaran excursion as well! Individual tubs are not heated and not private. The spa was underwhelming, you can skip it.

The location was great and the view spectacular. There were lots of nice restaurants with beautiful views. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great with an exceptional view. Overall wonderful stay. Nothing

Breakfast with a view, and good food too! Our room was beside the passage or walk way and sometimes people were noisy.

Great location with views of the caldera. The decor inside the rooms is very nice and the inside of our room was very clean. We felt mislead by the advertisement of our room. The “caldera view with outdoor jetted tub” listing has several photos which show the best angles from several different rooms. It made the room appear more private than it was- we were put in a room directly in front of the walking path, with a semi obstructed view of the caldera only visible from two tiny side windows. The photos also showed an outdoor sitting area that was private and much larger than the one we had. There were also no cushions/umbrella set out and the patio was not very well cleaned (see photo- dirty table and tub water). We realize this was partly due to strong winds but also did not reflect what was advertised. Also note that the “jetted tubs” are not heated and were ice cold when we were there so we did not use it which was disappointing. To be fair to the property they are not advertised to be heated (though most jetted tubs we have encountered are) so we were definitely surprised by that. The front desk staff were lovely, but the two staff working the breakfast buffet were a bit rude.

My family and I just recently got back from our trip and our stay at Akra was hands down one of the best accommodation! I must not have been paying attention and did not realize that this is an adults only hotel but thankfully they were able to make an exception for my 6 and 3 year old kids. First I want to do a big shout out to Kostas who was literally the man who wears many hats from working the reception and the breakfast buffet in the morning - he was very helpful! The other 2 ladies at the reception were helpful too but couldn't remember their names. The breakfast spread in the morning is really good with a lot of good option. The premises is well kept and very clean and not to mention is very close to the main road so you do not have to worry about walking too many stairs yet you still get a very good caldera view. There is also a supermarket across the street and restaurants around the hotel. The room is big and the bed was comfortable. the hotel is about 15 minutes walk to Fira and about 20 mins drive to Oia. I highly recommend this place and I would definitely come back. None at all!

The reception staff were exceptional. They arranged transportation and tours effortlessly. They even recovered a forgotten hat from one of our tours. The food was good. All staff were ready and willing to make our stay perfect! The bed was hard and there was a huge divide in the middle that prevented us from sleeping close to one another. (Not romantic!) Time for new mattresses!! The pillows were also hard.

Lovely staff, lovely views, very well-looked after hotel. Better than being based in either of the bigger towns because it was a little bit quieter and there are still very nice places to eat nearby - a bit of walk up the hill from Fira but worth it to be away from the crowds!

A hotel in a perfect location with an amazing view and I think that's why its price is accordingly, but it also had its drawbacks: we arrived in the middle of October so the water in the pool was cold, the pool in reality is much smaller than in the pictures on booking, the room was cute, the breakfast was poor and not varied at all, There were no vegetables and salads, few pastries, and drinks, but again the view wins there and is spectacular. The safe was not attached to the wall at all. we arrived in the middle of October so the water in the pool was cold, the pool in reality is much smaller than in the pictures on booking, the room was cute, the breakfast was poor and not varied at all, There were no vegetables and salads, few pastries, and drinks, but again the view wins there and is spectacular. The location is great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice I booked the room with the outdoor jacuzzi. From the pictures I was expecting something more private but the jacuzzi for our room was situated right in the front of the hotel and next to the walking path so you're pretty on display. Not so private. Pancake recipe could use some work. They're super dense.
