only thing I liked was the location and courteous staff. --the hotel's ad and photos on booking.com is a big lie. --When we arrived, we could not get thru the front door. The receptionist came to open the door, and said, ..."why didn't you use the code!" --WE WERE NEVER GIVEN A CODE !!! and I have the confirmation to prove it !! --The hotel reception area has become cold and unwelcoming. --I booked and paid for a DOUBLE ROOM which sleeps 3 + child. --on check-in, we were given a very small room that definitely did not match the booking.com site. --after I showed the receptionist my booking confirmation and the hotels booking.com ad, we were told that the "housekeeping person is not here now, and they can't change our room..." even though I had booked 3 wks in advance. --after I continued to argue the facts, we were given an appropriate room, which still needed to be cleaned. --the hotel website says, "each room has a dining table and a sofa..." --Our room had no dining table. We had to move a desk into our room and a nite stand. The knob on the shower door kept falling. --the bathroom sink leaked. --We always stayed at the Donau Hotel when it was owned by the lovely German family. In 2024, the elderly owners sold it to the Munique corp/new owner Mahmud Ahmed. Need I say more.!

Nice business hotel, relatively close to the center. Card to the room was not working, but we got a normal key instead.

The room was HUGE! We asked for two beds and we got two rooms within our room. It was an amazing set up at an incredible price.

Location was great, you're not far from the center. You can park there without additional cost, parking lots are plenty and easy to find. Staff was polite. I think I might just have been unlucky with my room as other, very positive reviews lead me to think, but my room and experience unfortunately was really bad. The furniture in the hotel is old-fashioned in a way that gave me a pretty eerie feeling. In the tiny room the fan didn't work, there was a constant noise in the bathroom (maybe from light bulbs or some hose), you can't open the windows all the way because the bed blocks them, the light switch by the bed was broken and the door lock didn't work either, so you couldn't lock the door from inside. I've tried many times. Unfortunately I realized that only after the reception was closed. As a female solo traveler I didn't feel save - and I'm traveling quite a lot, this was the first time. For the price unfortunately I wasn't happy with this experience. I recommend you check your room functions early and maybe you'll get a better one or choose another place if you're also a solo traveler.

Liked the easy access to public transport buses 2 mins away , main train station 10 mins away Didn't like the front hotel access code I struggled to get it right ,(could be just me) luckily rear reception stays open till 8pm so no issue . Helpful staff

Perfect location for the Saturday parkrun. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Nothing - a lovely walk through the park/ along river into town.
