The staff Were all super friendly and helpful, especially Gary. The hotel is spotless, and the decor very tasteful. The rooms were not very soundproof.

Lovely hotel, great location, excellent staff. Very accommodating and helpful family that run the place Water pressure in the shower was a bit weak but it such a nice hotel we really didn't care

Beautiful sea view room with balcony. Really lovely staycation night away for my daughter and I. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. Room and restaurant were impeccably clean. Such a lovely spot in our beautiful North Devon. Perfect ? thank you so much!

The bed was comfy. I had no hot water and the shower was very dated. Bathroom in general is very dated.

Breakfast was very good, however, full english only had one piece of bacon. Smoked salmon was a better choice. Room came with balcony but there was no outside seating.

The Commodore is beautifully situated, overlooking the River Torridge and facing Appledore. Instow has a beautiful beach. The room was comfortable with a superb balcony with sea view. Breakfast and evening meals are exceptionally good.

Staff were so friendly, beautiful hotel with fabulous views, lovely breakfast. Wish we could have stayed for longer. Sadly had to go home.

The room was excellent with views across the river to Appledore. The hotel was quiet, probably because of the time of year. Breakfast was excellent, with a large choice. Only the weather.

Great breakfast to start the day. Bedroom had a lovely view over the estuary and comfortable lounge. Convenient for shop, pub and restaurants.

Room with an excellent view and balcony which we used in November ! Complimentary refreshment upon arrival - very kind. Dinner - we prefer to select our own vegetables from side dishes rather than already applied to the plates !
