Sonesta Irvine John Wayne Airport

The rooms are so clean and the staff are so nice during Check in they allowed me to do early check in with no additional charge.

The Hotel was very nice, very clean, staff were very responsive, the advertisement was false, breakfast is not included in the stay. Instead, they offered a $10 voucher as a compliment for false advertisement.

Prices on bottled water and packaged food is extortionate though because there’s no grocery stores around. $9 for a bottle of water and $6 for a small cup of instant noodles.

Cleanest and nicest hotel I have stayed at so far and the staff there is amazing !

Just overall a strange hotel , overpriced parking , resort fees and the place is not a resort I’m sorry. They can advertise that all they want it’s a mid level hotel. I needed to switch rooms two times , the first room was not clean and the second room had a broken tv. The staff was relatively helpful but not that friendly. I will not be staying here again.

Still 5 stars for a convenient airport location and a clean room.

Good time

At that point in time there was a single exit (the questionable third elevator) for the entire hotel, with emergency exits physically blocked. When I alerted staff they brushed this off as "if there actually was an emergency we would open the emergency exits". On a different day, with still only 2 out of 3 elevators functioning, the elevators where so overwhelmed at check-out time (wait times easily exceeding 15 minutes) that a good portion of people started using the stairways and forcefully opened the emergency exits which promptly triggered the alarm. Response of the staff was to start charging people for triggering the alarm. No attempt to remedy the situation/excessive wait time at elevators.

We stay at the Sonesta whenever we are in Irvine, it's the most consistent when it comes to comfort, great staff, cleanliness, easy access to parking and elevators. The rooms are spacious and the amenities are great. I highly recommend.

Our stay at the sonesta was nice.. The room was very clean and spacious.. staff was very courteous and helpful. Very convenient having a hate bar and restaurant downstairs..

Great place to stay and very convenient location

Clean and spacious room. Modern design. My A/C unit was loud and I had to complain three days in a row to be offered an alternative room. Staff could have been more helpful. Additionally, the breakfast deal was not clear to the staff and we had to contact management through the app to get our vouchers.

Staff is amazing. The staff make this hotel amazing. Rooms are not as sound proofed as newer hotels, but they have security if people party.

Location Terrible elevators - it was a packed weekend and they only had 2/3 running and wouldn’t open up the stairwell. It made you never want to leave the room. The rooms were also dirty

Room was clean, staff was friendly. I felt like they nickle and dimed us at every turn... $39 for parking per day no free coffee in the lobby that was $6 a cup. There are many better options out there.

good value for the price. Parking can be full especially if returning to hotel late at night. Mattress could not be worse, very soft and lumpy. We were on 4th floor and heard a constant hum of a motor of some sort, luckily AC in room is relatively quiet. Bathroom lacks any kind of hooks, shelf, or rack to hang towels/clothes. Would not repeat.
