Hotel Pagoda

The absolute highlight of the stay. The hotel’s private beach offers a great dual experience. A secluded, quiet area on one side, and an open view facing picturesque, classic buildings on the other. It genuinely delivers a beautiful, classic Italian atmosphere. The Staff was Very pleasant and accommodating throughout my stay. While being right next to the port might be convenient for some, it was a major disadvantage for me. It is far from the city center and the castle (about a 45-minute walk). Furthermore, the approach to the hotel is highly unappealing. To enter the property, you must pass through the port area and then walk down a long, poorly lit, and rundown path that resembles a neglected neighborhood. As a solo female traveler, walking here alone at night felt unsafe and highly uncomfortable. The port area itself is not an environment where it feels pleasant to walk alone after dark. The gym is located outdoors under the open sky, with absolutely no shade or air conditioning. In the intense Italian heat, the equipment gets scorching hot, making it completely unusable. Working out under these conditions is simply not feasible. Given the high rates, the value for money is poor. The menus are significantly overpriced; charging €14 for an Aperol Spritz when local restaurants outside charge a maximum of €8 feels excessive. Additionally, a complimentary bottle of water was not provided in the room each morning, which is standard practice for a hotel in this price range. The room was very basic, and the balcony overlooked an industrial operational zone rather than a pleasant view. The acoustics are also poor, as noises from the adjacent room were easily audible.

Every aspect of the hotel was a trulay deserved four star retreat. An inspection would no flaws. We expected a nice stay but in the end we want to come back for more. Pinch me. Port not the best like Procida Carricella

It has been recently renovated, but it has very sloppy finishes, the bed linens are mediocre quality, do you overall facilities is very comfortable and relaxing for the amenities, overpriced, the food is horrendous. They include breakfast, but it’s not even worth to go past your espresso. It’s overpriced compared to the quality that offers. Outdoor space

Just 3 minutes walk from the ship port. Awesome views and access to the sea. Very clean and new hotel. Very pleasant and helpful staff. There was an issue with air conditioning control unit which was fixed only the next day. The breakfast is very ascetic, only few options to choose from and not enough meat options.

The Pagoda has it all! Close to the Port, Restaurants, private beach, lovely room, excellent breakfast, updated with everything imaginable included. The entire staff was exceptionally courteous! Absolutely nothing!

The hotel is so beautiful Arriving down the path to the hotel it looks so dark and is very difficult to see and it feels frightening!! You can fall and as a woman alone it was making me so nervous. Also it is so deteriorating it takes away from a beautiful hotel as an entrance!! You have to change the entrance route or light brightly and clean up the walkway!!! It’s a shame!

Only thing that I can come up with was that it would have been nice if the room had bathrobes. But that's a very little thing. Everything was wonderful.

The privacy of the facilities, the staff!!! Tarik was amazing to us as were everyone at the front desk. The restaurant on the rooftop was horrible! Our meal was very low quality and we had to send a dish back because it was raw and cold. Definitely not a highlight of the resort. Would eliminate food up there and just make it a cool rooftop bar with maybe snacks. The restaurant was definitely out of character given the other aspects of the property. Do yourself a favor……and never call that a “fine” dining restaurant again! lol. Other than that……the resort was fantastic!!!!!! Sure wish we could have gotten our money back for that awful meal.

Great stay Not long enough

View was beautiful, room was large and very clean, sun deck is great, nice spa facilities provided for a small hotel, breakfast was decent, and it was close to the port. Although it rained for 2/3 days we were there, the two times we had the opportunity to use the sun deck, it had trash on the ground and many side tables/chairs that were not cleared of used glasses and towels, nor were they cleared while we sat there for two hours. It is walking distance to the ferry port, but the neighborhood you have to go through is dicey and a bit scary at night. Our main problem is that we were ripped off by staff that refused to provide the necessary invoice to complete a price match with Booking.com. They listed our suite at $1000 less than we paid just a couple weeks before. They gave us an upgrade when I asked, but it was still $600 less than we paid. The front desk man was very helpful, but the women at the desk were rude and clearly did not want to accommodate the price match that Booking.com guarantees, so they refused to provide a correct invoice with the suite language needed. This greediness really hampered my view of the staff and the hotel's treatment of guests.

Amazing resort Not long enough

Would have been hard to find without transportation to. The entrance is not well marked for a tourist. One might think they are walking down the wrong road.

The hotel is very modern and the rooms are both sleek and spacious. Very nice amenities also. It felt like a hotel in the US. The location is great as well: just a 5 minute walk to the hotel from the ferry landing and close to the shopping area. The staff were all amazing from the front desk to the restaurant. The included breakfast had a lot of options to choose from. The hotel could state that the balconies facing the sea are enclosed and only have a small window. I was shocked to see this when I arrived.

Great beach deck; big, clean rooms; beautiful views; really enjoyable morning bartender (Tarek? I think); nice lobby and outdoor restaurant seating area. Located in a somewhat dirty residential neighborhood, in which you have to drag your luggage from the ferry down a back alley to reach. Taxis are very expensive on the island, but necessary when your hotel is somewhat far from other places. Workout facilities are on the roof and uncovered, so they were closed and unavailable during our stay due to rain. If it's raining, there is not much to do here due to the small grounds, in comparison to other larger resort properties. Our friends had a weird experience in the spa in which the masseuse didn't cover their chests with a towel or sheet and massaged them in that place without consent. This may be a European practice, but it made them uncomfortable. Finally, they dropped prices by hundreds of dollars a few weeks after we booked and refused to price match for our group. We stayed at Il Moresco the night before checking in here for a cheaper last-minute price and had an amazing time. We spent a long time deciding where to stay on Ischia, and really regretted booking this hotel.
