An Cuan was a great B&B and am happy to recommend it to other visitors ,it was very comfy and excelent breakfast .and Bowmore is a good base to stay while in Islay. Would definitely stay at An Cuan if returning to Islay . There was nothing I did not like about our stay

We stayed four nights in Bowmore in a small but very complete bedroom with perfect shiower. Perfectly cleaned each day and hygienic. We were very well looked after by Birgit & Joerg in the morning with an excellent breakfast. A wide choice of breakfast selections. Perfectly located in the centre of Bowmore and always parking naar the front door.

Brilliant stay, I was unable to stay for breakfast due to travelling times but I was met in the morning with a full packed lunch for my day. Can’t fault the service and the lovely owner.

The location was perfect, set in the middle of Bowmore village, opposite the busy, wonderful bar/ restaurant at The Bowmore Hotel. The host Brigit was friendly and helpful. The room was a little small but comfortable and had everything we needed for a lovely holiday.

Great to have an en-suite. Very close to Bowmore hotel for dinner and a whiskey Bible of 1,500 whiskies from Jura and Islay

The breakfast was excellent! Everything was run very efficiently. And the place was spotless! Remember to bring your own shampoo & conditioner!

Lovely and quaint little spot! The owner was a very kind lady, there was a pretty English garden, sweet little decorations, and a delicious Scottish breakfast upon request. She was very accommodating and kept up the place quite well. We were near to the distilleries we came to visit on Islay, and the dinner at the Bowman Hotel across the street from the BnB was lovely once we were able to secure reservations. I highly recommend!

Great location with pubs and other shops in walking distance. Friendly host, it was easy to reach them with questions about how to get to the island and we received useful tips. We weren't able to stay in the room we booked so had to stay in another with single beds. The bathroom was very small.
