We recently stayed at Palms Oceanfront Hotel with a partial ocean view room. The room itself was comfortable and we enjoyed the view, but housekeeping could have been a bit more thorough—there was noticeable dirt and dust in some of the corners. On the positive side, the room was well-stocked with plenty of towels and washcloths, which we appreciated. The complimentary breakfast was also a nice perk, offering fresh fruit, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, juice, and other basic breakfast items. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with a great location and good amenities, though a little extra attention to cleanliness would make the experience even better.

The beach view was unobstructed. The air conditioner worked well (noisy, but nice and cold!).
-
The staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and quiet. We will be back.

This room was not as advertised. The AC barely worked. Ended up leaving a day early because it was so hot. Bathroom was tiny and hot with no air circulation. The room phone didn’t work and maintenance was not helpful with phone or AC. Very disappointed

Rooms were nice and clean. Only complaint would be the elevators are very slow.
-
Great location with easy access to beach right beside restaurants and easy walk up drinks & clean room. Pool area is very small with limited chairs & no shaded spot/umbrellas but they do provide towels. Paid extra for partial beach view from balcony but got a view of the restaurant next door and couldn’t even keep my curtains open due to people being right outside of your room eating and can’t see beach due to building in way so that was frustrating. Comfy bed with nice cool air and a full size mirror in room

Very nice!!

Great location. Walk right out to the beach and walk to restaurants. Felt like parking should have been included.
-
Great spot other than the parking.

The staff are kind and helpful. The room was clean, breakfast was delicious. Overall great place to stay.

We really enjoyed that the hotel was centrally located to a lot of places we ending up going. The beach access was the best. We didn’t like that our sheets on arrival had stains and hair that wasn’t ours. Every time we’d check the sheets after they’d been changed, there were always stains and strands of hair that weren’t ours. Also, the floor was constantly sandy, on arrival and after the room was “cleaned”.

I will go to another hotel.

Very nice property. The staff was great, the room was perfect. The only issue is the parking. There are minimal parking spots in the property parking garage so we had to park in the municipal lot. On the weekend the area was very crowded due to the great restaurants and atmosphere and we had to park two blocks from the property when we left for a couple of hours. Also, the price of parking is $100 a week.

walking distance to the beach stores and restaurants The front desk agents do not have any personality and not personable at all. When asked for a couple showers items, they don’t even acknowledge you. They just go look for it and then hand it to you if they have it. The shower body wash was pretty much out the day we checked in. The hot tea water was lukewarm and breakfast was quite lame. Parking is horrible under the building. You pay a ton of money for parking alone and it’s not even regulated nor telling people to move their cars over, so two cars could fit instead of one. There were no pool towels available at the pool. The stairways are really nasty and need paint really bad. The elevator is very slow.

We will never go back. Not worth the $$$

Highly recommended. We enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back again soon.

The room was okay, nothing fancy, but for the price I thought it should have been better. One staff member was not pleasant at all. She just was not nice like I am used to to South Carolinians being. I lived in Charleston for several years and this is not what it was like before. This was not my first time staying on the Isle of Palms either. I thought I reserved an ocean view, but the view as only a partial view, that was disappointing as well. The place was clean, just not as nice as I thought it should have been for the price of it.

If you are looking for a decent place to stay with friendly staff, a working fridge, soft sheets, quiet restaurants next door, and adequate parking, I’d choose a different hotel.
-
Great location, quiet and spacious room. Not much in the way of amenities (access to beach chairs and an umbrella without paying an excessive amount to a third party would have been nice) but it provides what it says it will.
-
Location is excellent Horrible smell around the entire building and stairwells Unpleasant and dismissive front desk Mediocre breakfast that didn’t even include an egg or a protein
