The receptionist wanted me to pay in cash instead of by credit card when he saw that I had cash on me. "You have cash, cash is better". I insisted on card payment. Not very helpful staff when asking where to buy the Istanbul card or where the nearest shop is. There was still pickled, smelly food in the fridge from the previous guest, and the carpet was crumbly. Not a nice place, but at least there was good access to the metro and bus. The pictures, especially of the building, are not true and are very exaggerated and with filters. Tiny room with 50cm of space to walk in front of and next to the bed. Shower about 50cm size.

The location was perfect, easy access to the metro and tram stations. Staff were very nice and helpful and always went the extra mile to help us when we needed it. We got a free room upgrade too which was brilliant. The rooms were nice, clean and spacious. The breakfast could be improved as it was an extra 7 euros for breakfast and then a separate charge for other items such as an omelette or a latte etc. which could be included in the whole of the breakfast.

They offered us a nice, spacious room with a view in front of the hotel. The staff was very kind, ready to help us solve any problem. Many thanks to Yusuf, the receptionist who was on duty when we arrived, with whom we could talk in English (and this happens quite rarely in the area), who offered us tea upon arrival and who made our check-in quickly. He also sent a boy to show us where the parking area was and how to get there. Because at the time of booking on the hotel's website it was said that cars can be parked in a private location behind the hotel, they helped us reserve a place for our car in that location. It was very crowded and we probably wouldn't have found a place for our car there, without their help. There is a safe in the room. On the ground floor there is a cafe where you can serve, for a fee, a very good coffee. A lot of shops, restaurants in the area and very close to public transport (metro, bus, tram), even a taxi station. However, you can reach the Grand Bazaar quite quickly on foot(15-20 minutes), and even in the square between the two mosques, at the fountain, but you have to be prepared to climb a lot, because the streets in the area are on a slope. Not too much to say, but….the bathroom supplies were not replenished, and a housekeeper gave us a very nasty reply "Finished" when we asked for soap(not all employees were rude, I think she was the only one). About the neighborhoods-narrow streets, congested, with a lot of garbage in the evening; the noise from the garbage trucks in the morning.

The only one person on reception was helpfull (Yusuf). The rest 2 were completely unprofessional and rude. They did everything to make sure that it was last time in that hotel.

Refurbished rooms. Great location, near metro and trams. Staff were very friendly and helpful Air conditioning wasn’t great but we could open the window instead.
