Literally everything! Missing breakfast but still understandable because of the price !

The staff was amazing, very clean rooms, all of the receptionists are able to talk a fluent English and of course they were always smiling

Everything was clean, so many things within walking distance, and the staff was very friendly. Aslan particularly was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. It’s an older property, some of the spaces are tight, but this is something that is totally expected in the old town for an older building.

Excellent value for money, very friendly and helpful staff. Thanks Aslan for printing documents for me, arranging good tours and restaurant advise! A little street noisy, but what can you expect when you stay in the center?

The reception guys Aslan & Ferhat we’re sooo friendly, happy and helpful in all ways. I felt welcomed from the minute I walked into The Mara Hotel. Tram stop is a short distance in either direction. Ferhat even gave me a Istanbulkart to reload and go. The shower had plenty of hot water and was very nice. You are a short distance to many restaurants and coffee shops as well as convenience stores for snacks. Wine, beer and alcohol can be bought from a store 1 minute away. The view from the 8th floor rooftop shows views of several mosques & the Bosporus straits. I was in a lovely room on the 7th floor that was very clean & fresh. The elevator works well so getting baggage up and down was a breeze. There is a kettle, coffee and 2 bottles of water in the room as well as a small refrigerator to keep things cold. Good price point. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the old city. Not much but a chair in my room was my only regret.

Wonderful place to stay, especially if it’s your first time visiting Istanbul. Conveniently located in the Old City, close to public transportation, restaurants, and shops, it’s a perfect base for exploring this vibrant city. Many must-see attractions are within a 20-minute walk, so we could easily walk back and forth from the hotel a few times a day and take short breaks in the comfy room in between. You can also venture farther out using the metro and tram just around the corner. The room was small but comfortable, quiet, and clean. The staff were very friendly. We spent five nights in a suite with two connected rooms, and the maid tidied up the rooms every day while we were out. We also appreciated the bottled water provided in the room and the sweet treats left at the front desk from time to time.

I didn’t expect it to be so great especially for this price. Definitely coming back next time in Istanbul.

The location was amazing, only 1 1/2 short blocks from the metro and tram with Hagia Sophia the Topkapi Palace, Spice Market, and many more sights only a 10-15 mins walk. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Aslan, the night manager, was a true gem with great sightseeing ideas that matched my interests. I think "didn't like" is a little harsh. The elevator broke a couple of times, but it was promptly fixed.

My stay at this hotel was highly positive, and I would certainly choose to revisit. The staff truly sets this establishment apart. Ferhat and Tahir, along with the rest of the team, were consistently friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the entire experience very pleasant. The location is absolutely excellent. It serves as a fantastic starting point, allowing easy and quick access to all parts of the city. Regarding the accommodation, the room was indeed on the small side, which is a fair critique. However, it was impeccably clean and well-maintained, which is far more important. Overall, the superb service and convenience of the location greatly outweigh the compact room size. With this cheap price and easy-access location one The 4D3N stay in the Quadruple Room was amazing. With this cheap price and easy-access location one step from Marmaray Sirkeci station it is absolutely lovely. Thankful for the kind and friendly hospitality staffs "Ferhat & Aslan". Ferhat asisted us to sent our luggage to our room. the room is clean and Warm. the bed and pillows are soft & Comfortable. the bathroom was very clean and full of amenities. Recomended Hotel and we will back soon, Inshallah ❤ Everything perfect

A lot of noise from outside. Trams going just below the window were heard all night, just like some of the noisy neighbours next door.
