The staff was extremely helpful with all aspects of our needs. They arranged for airport transportation to and from. They arranged for a van to take us to Bursa for the day. They gave us a map of the city and highlighted all important sightseeing areas. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The person cleaning our rooms was amazing. Everything was tidy and clean. Towels replenished everyday. Location was unbeatable! Literally 5 min walk to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar. Tons of shopping, restaurants and trams. Would definitely stay here again!!

It was a great location, easy to walk to the historical sites. It was a small simple room with a nice bed and soft sheets. The staff at the desk were incredibly helpful, very kind, and we’re always explaining great places to visit around Istanbul and ways to get there. I needed a typhoid shot and they looked up a place where I could get it and phoned for me. I have never stayed at a hotel with kinder hosts!

Balpetek is the perfect location for exploring the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul. From the hotel, we were able to walk to major sights like the Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. It is a small hotel but it had all the amenities that we needed for a comfortable stay including an excellent and complete breakfast. The staff was very helpful and assisted us with everything including our airport shuttle and grocery and restaurant recommendations. They even checked us in early when we returned after an early flight back from Cappadocia. Thank you very much to Mohamed, Armand, Asaf and Ataveh for all their help and making our first trip to Turkey a memorable one There was no outlet conveniently located next to the hot water heater.

This one was also nice and clean but there was one thing. When you flushed the toilet it sounded like the Titanic was leaving the harbor for like 2 minutes. It made a very weird sound. Other than that, I loved my time here and the best part about this hotel was the staff. I traveled to a lot of places and stayed in many hotels,, but the staff here is truly top tier. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here. Everything is relatively close by. If you exit and go right l, at the second intersection there is a supermarket. In the same area there is also a good and cheap laundry service. You need to be a bit careful with the restaurants in the area, many are overpriced. Air raid siren when flushing the toilet in the single room.

It is due to the location but it is quite loud on the street even during the night, but this is expected in a hotel so much in the inner city.

Staff - helped us when the room allocated on day had a non functioning AC. And helped us with the attractions of Istanbul. Makes you feel same. Breakfast - many choices were there. Location - great for visiting the primary attractions of Istanbul - within walking distance of Grand Bazar, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and TopKapi palace Facilities - rooms are small (given the location - may be understandable but need space to keep 2 bags. They had to change the room on 1st day as AC was not working. Bathroom layouts are a bit odd (especially with the room on the second day)
