We had a very comfortable stay at Hotel Barbera. The location is excellent — right in the center of Sultanahmet, within walking distance of all major historical attractions, yet the street is quiet at night. The room was compact but very well organized and cozy. The bed was large and extremely comfortable. We slept very well throughout our stay. Housekeeping kept the room perfectly clean every day. The biggest advantage of this hotel is the staff. Everyone was consistently polite, attentive and ready to help. Kursad at reception is exceptionally professional and welcoming, creating a very positive first impression. Murat during breakfast was also kind and attentive. It is clear that the team works together long-term, which reflects strong management and stable service quality. Minor point: sound insulation between rooms could be better, as some noise from neighboring rooms can be heard. Overall, this is a boutique hotel with genuine hospitality, great service and an excellent central location. We would definitely stay here again. Breakfast should have more variety options in open buffet but over all was good.

The location is super central to all the tourist sites, you're basically right outside of Gulhane Park and Topkapi Palace Museum, you're also in an area that's specially catered to tourists, so lots of restaurants and bars, bonus are the 24 Hours dessert shop Hafiz Mustafa, you can get coffee and sweets any time of the day. It was perfect for my one night stay so I have no complaints here to be honest. For what I've paid, the ease of getting there from HVIST11, it was a breeze getting in and out of Istanbul.

A small boutique hotel with the friendliest staff you would ever care to meet. I didn’t love Istanbul- too many people for my taste- but the hotel and staff made my 5 days there so enjoyable I hated to leave. Many many thanks for a superb stay- I can’t recommend this place more highly. Not a thing- everything perfect. Clean clean clean. Hospitable. Breakfast amazing for a small little place. Super location. Walkable everywhere

Perfect location to most attractions, and things to do in Istanbul. The location is walkable to Sultanahmet area, Topkapi palace, Hagia Sophia, and Blue Mosque. We visited most of the popular tourist spots from our hotel without taking a taxi. The public transportation is also easy to access from this hotel. We walked from our hotel to Galata bridge, Galata tower, all the way to taksim square. The staff was wonderful always helpful, courteous , and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing host, ideal location for first-time Istanbul visitors. Great breaksfast. Close to the T1 tram and ferries. Overall a recommendation, if we come back to Istanbul, we'll book this place. We stayed 5 nights and were very satisfied.

The hotel is very well located, pretty close to the Galata Bridge. It's about 30min walk from Istiklal Cd and in the heart of the Sultanahmet region. We walked everywhere. The breakfast was great, with even options to order, like omelettes and pancakes. Murat was very friendly from the beginning, helping us out with everything and Kuşat as well. They really made a difference. The only thing that was a problem during our trip was the mini fridge. We like to buy local stuff and store in the mini fridge to try whenever we like, but we ended up losing a few things because it was not working.
