Bender Hotel

The hotel made our experience in Istanbul a great one. We had a spacious room on the second floor with a view of the bustling streets. The room was a great mix of the older interior with modern amenities. Special thanks to the breakfast lady who gave us hot milk every morning and Tokhir for prepping our room beforehand. We will be coming back.

Location was very convenient and the breakfast was great, especially considering the food prices in the local restaurants. Very good value. The staff were polite and helpful. It was noisy at times, but I think that's probably true of most of the hotels in this area.

The hosts were very kind and welcoming, and the room was comfortable and well maintained. The hotel also includes a breakfast buffet, which was okay (not great) but, most importantly, very convenient for starting the day before heading out to explore. The only minor drawbacks were a slight smell around the property, although nothing serious, and the fact that if you rely on public transportation, there is a bit of a walk from the tram stop to the hotel. With the uneven streets and sidewalks, managing a carry-on suitcase can be a little challenging. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel. The location, hospitality, and comfort made for a great stay in Istanbul.

I greatly enjoyed my stay at Bender Hotel during my two-week visit to Istanbul. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapı Palace, and many other historic sites of Sultanahmet. For anyone interested in exploring the old city on foot, it is a very convenient base. One aspect I particularly appreciated was the atmosphere of the neighborhood. The streets around the hotel are full of character, and there is often a cool marine freshness in the air from the nearby Bosphorus. The old peninsula still feels very much alive. My room had a wonderful view overlooking one of Sultanahmet's narrow historic streets, with the Bosphorus visible beyond. I found myself often pausing to enjoy the view, which added greatly to the experience of staying in the heart of old Istanbul. The staff were polite, professional, and helpful throughout my stay. My room was comfortable, and after long days of walking around the city, it was always pleasant to return to the hotel and rest. Overall, I had a very positive experience and would gladly consider staying here again on a future visit to Istanbul. I experienced some minor Wi-Fi connectivity issues early in my stay, but the hotel staff responded promptly and helped resolve the matter.

The staff was very nice and helpful. Great value for the money. Our room was on the ground floor just next to the reception. I would recommend to ask for a room on the above floors. Our room was very clear however the air was very thick as we arrived. It helped just opening the windows and letting the air change a bit.

Great hotel in a perfect location in the city center, but still very quiet, which makes it easy to relax. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Istanbul. Nothing comes to mind, everything was great

Great location in the heart of old Istanbul in walking distance to the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Clean and comfortable.

WE and our friends had the triple room. It was very spacious and nicely decorated with very comfortable beds. The location is walking distance to all the major sites and restaurants. The breakfast was well done and generous.

Perfect location, very good breakfast, brilliant & helpful staff, clean rooms, family friendly, and good value. We would definitely stay again. One of the children's beds was a sofa/couch bed. An actual single bed would have been more comfortable. We were offered an alternative room after talking to the staff, but the alternative room was in a noisy location.

We had a great stay! The room was large but cozy and the staff was really friendly. The location is great, a short walk from the Blue Mosque. And really tasty breakfast!

Great location and the staff are very friendly and helpful! The bathroom has a little smell so we had to close the door for most of the time but it is kinda expected with an older building.

Nice hotel, close to all the attractions walking. Restaurants around, metro, ferry, it is very convenient for people to visit Istanbul

A little noisy, and need some remodeling

It was a great choice for the value! Location of the hotel cloud not be more perfect. It’s a short walk to the main attractions sites and to all transportation hubs. The staff was amazing. All the guys at the front desk were super helpful and friendly, they gave us so many useful tips. The room was clean and had everything that we needed. I specifically liked that it had the attached dining area that they used for breakfast buffet in the morning and for dinner at night. It felt very secluded, cozy and charming. We ended up using it for dinner 3 nights in a row. It was very convenient especially after a long and exhausting day of doing all the site seeing. I was surprised to find out that at 5:45 am every morning we heard a loud call for a prayer. And at night time there was a lot of noise from the neighboring restaurants. But it was only shocking to us the very first day. All the following days after that it didn’t bother us, we slept through the noise since we were super exhausted after spending days site seeing.

The price value ratio is very good. We felt very safe in the area as it is full of light up to late evening. The staff was helpful in giving advices concerning our stay in Istanbul. Breakfast was in the garden with beautiful ambient The area is A little noisy in the evening if you want to rest early
