Berk Guesthouse - 'Grandma's House'

We had a great stay, the hosts were really lovely and helped us out with advice and support. The breakfast was great, and situated in a lovely terrace. The room was comfortable, and overall the hotel was everything we needed!

Right next to Hagia Sophia and Topkapi, caring owners, clean, has all the necessary things. Tiny bathroom, but that’s Ok

What wonderful hosts, very welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend this accommodation. So central and easy to walk to all main sites from there. The area is also great with restaurants and shops.

Couldn’t say more great things about Berk guest house! The owners were amazing, super helpful and did everything to make sure we had a great stay! The location is super central and perfectly located to get around and see all the sites. Breakfast was delicious and overall a great stay. Everything was excellent but be warned due to the proximity to the Blue Mosque, the call to prayer can be heard around 4AM on some nights :)

Fantastic family-run guesthouse! The location is perfect, just a short walk to the Hagia Sophia. The owners are incredibly welcoming, the rooms are clean and spacious, and the rooftop sitting area is lovely.

The location is perfect, making it easy to explore the surroundings, while still enjoying a peaceful and cozy neighborhood in this historic area. Whether we needed recommendations, directions, or assistance with anything at all, the staff was always ready to help. We would happily stay here again!

Location Noisy room

I had a wonderful stay at Berk Guest House. The property is located right in the center of Istanbul, close to everything you might want to visit. Even though my room was next to the street, I had no issues with noise and slept very well. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was complete and satisfying. They even offer traditional Turkish coffee as part of the experience, which I really appreciated. The place has a very homey, traditional atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. I would definitely choose to stay here again. Highly recommended!

The owners, the location, the terrace and the breakfast. The bathroom was small for us, but it was no such big deal.

Just a great stay all around. Ideal central location right in the heart of Old Istanbul, small but efficient room with a comfortable bed and en suite bathroom, excellent fresh cooked breakfast every morning, and wonderful views of the sea and nearby landmarks from the rooftop terrace. But the part of our stay was how our hosts, Yeşim and Ahmed, made us feel welcome and at home from our arrival all the way through departure. Our room was on the first floor, facing the street, so I was a little concerned about noise, but that turned out to be no problem at all. Simple, no frills room, but clean and comfortable. For a true feeling of staying with family or friends in Istanbul, Grandma's House would be hard to top.

The room was spacious, the location was fantastic. The hosts are incredibly warm and kind. Our room did not have a safe box, but I know other rooms do have one.

The location was ideal-it was a short walk to the center of the old town. The owners of Berk Guest House made us feel like family. What a surprise that a nice breakfast was included in our stay. Our room was on the third floor and our luggage was taken up and down for us. There were numerous nice restaurants nearby. We hope to return. I highly recommend this gem. Nothing

Perfect location. Lovely rooftop sitting area. Amazing staff and owners.

The location is excellent, right smack in the old town an across Four season hotel. The street is very quiet so we were able to get good night sleep. The owners are very personable and helpful I wish that there were more choices of bread, as well as a good butter( not the little prepackaged squares) Tiny bathroom:)

Super staff and breakfast, we really enjoyed the rooftop terrace - perfect view and calmness!

We will definitely come back here. Our room with terrace was absolutely stunning.
