Breakfast is ok. I had room with window which was opening to corridor… It wasn’t mentioned in the description during the booking. It should be sold as a room without window actually. During the night I couldn’t sleep due to other guests walking and talking in the corridor. It was very uncomfortable.

I liked the hotel very much, it really gives you everything you can get for the money you pay. I loved the people that work at the reception, they were extremely helpful (especially Mehmet - his kind soul is one reason more to visit this hotel). And the lady serving breakfast is so nice, I felt really welcome.

The man with black hair was a nice gentleman. Very well mannered. I cannot recommend it due to a troubling experience with the staff and overall service. During our stay, I noticed a staff member responsible for room service, a skinny man with black hair in dark blue clothing, who often lurked around the hotel. He came to our room once to take out the trash, but it became clear he was more interested in our valuables. The next day, 300 € and some lira were stolen from my wife's purse, and when I inquired at the reception about anyone entering our room while we were at breakfast, the staff member claimed the cameras weren't working. It felt like he was covering up for something he knew was happening. Additionally, the escalator only worked intermittently, which was frustrating. Dont trust description, the rooms are different and smaller, dont take the room with the view it simply doesnt exist. In short, there are much better hotels in the area at more reasonable prices. I advise anyone staying here to keep valuables safe and avoid leaving them in your room.

Some of the staff were nice, like the guy we met at reception when we arrived; he helped me find another room. Also, Rauf was good and speaks good English. The location of the hotel was really good, as it was a 10-minute walk from the Fatih mosque. There were a lot of restaurants around the hotel and you can reach the main road in 5 minute walk. Good access to transport. When we arrived, we found the room completely different than the pictures on the website. It said a room with a balcony for 5 people. There was no balcony, and there was no space in the room to walk or put our bags. The other room inside the big room was difficult to reach as well. We had to go upstairs for one flight after you reach the 4th floor because there's no lift to the fifth floor, which is not mentioned on the description of the hotel. I had two disabled people with me who could not go up the stairs, which were also very difficult stairs. I had to change my room and book another room to be able to fit my family and paid nearly extra 120 pounds, which wasn't in my budget. The room was not cleaned for five days and had no new towels, tea bags, or shampoo stuff. We had no covers for the first night, and when I asked for them, the man looked at me as if I was asking for something abnormal. The floors were dirty and full of ants. The food for the breakfast was very limited in their options, and the first day there were many flies on top of the food, and I had to ask to clean the place as it was disgusting.

I like staff only but not the owner of the hotel because he prevented us from seeing the room until we paid the full amount, and this is what forced me to pay, especially since I was with my wife and children, and the matter of leaving immediately was difficult and took a long time, perhaps that is why we were very embarrassed. Room is not like the pictures it is very small we could not walk inside it, air condition is not fixed in the right place and half of the room is roof and prepared to be room with sandwich panels

The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the attention to detail, from the plush towels to the thoughtful toiletries, made all the difference.One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. The buffet offered a wide variety of fresh and delicious options, catering to all tastes. I especially appreciated the local specialties – a perfect way to start the day.The location of the hotel is unbeatable, right in the heart of the Old City, making it easy to explore key attractions on foot. Despite being so centrally located, the hotel provided a quiet and peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. Overall, my stay at the Diamond Hotel Old City was outstanding. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and prime location made for a truly memorable experience.
