Grand Hilarium Hotel

Very clean rooms.. good space.. the staff are very welcoming and friendly.. the location is perfect and very close to Yenikapi metro station and Aksaray tram station

Especially Shirin, Kobra and Aysher. It was a wonderfull experience. Once I called reception nobody picked up. And the day u arrive they shoud already put toothbrush in the bathroom. But there was no!.

Rooms were a bit small but still it was not noticeable compared to other facilities

Sometimes, the AC had a bad smell. The pool was not working/was under construction.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The breakfast was different every day, with a great variety of delicious food. Everything was fresh and well prepared. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Their hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay here again

Room size

Very friendly and helpful staff, a clean and well-maintained hotel, and an excellent location. The metro station is just a short walk away, making it very easy to get around the city.

Our stay in the hotel was fantastic, we were greeted by very friendly staff members, turkish çay and an adorable parrot. The room was spotless, equipped with many goodies - tea set, sewing kit, shoe polish, soap, shampoo, comb, blow dryer, slippers, mini fridge. AC won't disappoint you, it kept us cool when the weather outside was scorching hot. Free water from the dispenser in the hallway was so appreciated - bring your own bottle and refill as you go. The breakfast area was spacious and had a nice selection of cheeses, fruits, jams, hot dishes, cakes and drinks. The location is top notch, close to the tram and bus stops, noise levels are okay but you can hear honking during traffic hours and music from a nearby restaurant (it's a vibe, though!). Unfortunately the pool wasn't available during our stay. Otherwise splendid!

A heartfelt thank you to Furkan, Gül, Talha, Kaan, and Yıldıray. Every interaction with them was filled with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. They were always ready to help, always smiling, and made me feel more like a guest they truly valued than just another visitor. It’s rare to come across a team that leaves such a positive impression, and they are the main reason we’ll remember this stay so fondly. Thank you for making our time in Istanbul so enjoyable. I would gladly stay here again and recommend it to others.

The staff was polite and helpful and location is very good. The air conditioning did not work despite complaining many times.

Personnel, service, cleanness, location, comfort, drinking water "source" on each floor, spacious room are the most important points I want to emphasise regarding this hotel. Our stay was during Ramadan, and personnel made sure I have my "early breakfast" every morning, which is rich and healthy, with many variations. Hotel is excellent connected with the city public transportation, whether you are travelling toward Taksim, Blue Mosque, Asia side. I really recommend this hotel for your stay in Istanbul! Nothing

The hotel was a good choice: the breakfast was good, the staff were super accommodating, and most importantly, were willing to move us when the first room was not good. The location is perfect for easy walking access to the markets and major attractions. The beds and pillows are hard but typical for the region. The first room offered was so tiny and dark, with a window that opened to an inner courtyard across from a furnace vent that added extra heat to the room; central AC was unavailable due to the time of year. Thank goodness we could change rooms!

The air conditioner was not working. They fixed it on the third (and last) night of our stay.

Three days of suffering in this room, no air conditioning, stuffy room and no air, no hot water on the first day due to a malfunction, Tuesday there was no water in the taps, unsecured rooms, no privacy from my room I could see and hear what the roommates were doing and saying

Friendly staff Excellent location

Easy access to Metro & Taxis. Short walk (5 mins) to Bagcilar - Kabataş Tram which for a tourist, gets you to most places you want to go. Friendly helpful staff. Good water pressure in the shower. Very good internet speed. 10-15 min walk to KumKapı which has plenty of good cafes and restaurants. Many specialising in fish and well priced compared to more touristy parts of İstanbul. Whilst windows are double glazed to keep out noise which is great, the installation method has resulted in an air gap all the way around which means the outside noise is not suppressed. If you are a light sleeper consider ear plugs.

Staff doesn't speak english. Even though breakfast was included in the price, it took very long time for a staff to confirm that breakfast is included.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Grand Hilarium Hotel. The cleanliness, friendly staff, and excellent hospitality made the experience truly pleasant. I was particularly impressed by the team’s prompt and attentive service. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Mr. Murad and Akram for their warm welcome and outstanding hospitality.
