Everything. Location to see the main touristic places was great, the views from the room were beautiful: facing an old mosque and sea. The size of the room was very good, same for the bathroom. And it had a really nice rooftop terrace just to take your book and enjoy the peace and views. I liked everything! I will be back.

It’s very neat and clean . Walking distance to main tourist attractions. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They are extremely professional and cooperative. I strongly recommend other tourists to come and stay here and enjoy their hospitality and definitely you will feel at home in Istanbul. Tidy, well maintained and very close to transit, main attractions, shops and restaurants

What a gem of a hotel. Welcomed by Omar who runs this family business. He's delightful, helpful and so pleasant. The rooms are lovely and ours looked out onto the Mosque and the call to prayer was fantastic. As this isn't enough, there's a rooftop balcony to sip on a drink and watch the sun set over the Bosphorus. It was perfect.

I did not like that the hotel did not have an elevator. The bathroom had a foul smell, and the shower was clogged.

The property is very clean including our room. Everything was on point. Omar was amazing. He was always a text away, he helped me out as my luggage got lost by the airline and facilitated me getting back. You can also book your taxi to the airport through him and it’s very convenient

When you pay just a small amount for a hotel night, you usually don’t have any expectations — you just want it to be clean and safe. That’s exactly how it was when we booked a room at Little Sofia Hotel in Istanbul. But then the price–quality balance shifted the moment the hospitality and service culture far exceeded the cost, making the price feel not just symbolic, but almost irrelevant. Omer, the owner, showed a rare kind of kindness and genuine care. He helped us with our luggage when we arrived and when we left, answered all our questions with patience and involvement, served us tea and baklava, stored our bags until our late-night flight, and even walked us to the taxi, refusing to let us carry our own luggage. He was present and attentive throughout our entire stay. I’ve been to Istanbul before, in much more expensive hotels, but I honestly can’t remember ever being treated this warmly and respectfully. We deeply appreciate it, we are grateful, and we wholeheartedly recommend this place. I have nothing to complain about.

Close to main attraction, well decorated and comfortable stay

This is a gem of a place, maximum 15-minute easy walk to all major attractions, public transport and shopping. Very comfortable room, nice rooftop terrace to sit out and enjoy the view. Omar was great, he met us upon arrival, we saw him every day and he gave us great local tips. I highly recommend this hotel for your Istanbul stay. We loved everything but just note that you will be directly beside a mosque, and you will hear the call to prayer very early in the morning. It did not bother us at all, but something for you to be aware of.

Great location, staff was friendly, helpful and attentive.

The owner and his family are lovely! They took personal care to make sure they were ready for us upon arrival and that we were well taken care of. They truly made us feel at home and accommodated personal requests. The hotel and rooms were clean. It is in a great location. The roof terrace was nice and had a great view. We were able to make and enjoy our own breakfast on the last day of our stay. We had a late pickup and we were able to enjoy the terrace as a family until our ride arrived.

Our stay at Little Sofia was exactly what we wanted during our time in Istanbul. A small, family-owned property that made us feel very welcome, even before we arrived. Omar was very responsive to my questions leading up to our visit, and always helpful and kind during our stay. Our room was very comfortable and included everything we needed. The location of this property is fantastic, and we could walk to all of the main sites which is what we wanted to do. We also enjoyed eating at their family restaurant and appreciated the 10% discount, too. We will for sure stay there again during our next visit as we now feel like we are part of the family!

After visiting places different neighborhoods our time in Istanbul, we are sure this is the best place to stay in the city! It is prime location, nice quiet road, walkable to public transportation and attractions. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend staying here!!

All staff was excepcionally nice. Excellent location if you would like to discover the old city. Many good restaurants closeby, we can recommend the Aya Garden.

We enjoyed our stay here so much. It's a cute, clean place in a very historic district, so we were close to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia etc. We very much appeciated Omar- he is a very cheerful and helpful person, who thinks ahead on behalf of guests. For example, between our two stays, he gave me the keys to the new room in advance so that I could just come back straight from the airport and feel at home. Luggage storage, booking taxis.... Thank you, Omar!
