I booked a sea view room but on the first day they put us in a city view the next day they offered the sea view room when others checked out There was no lock for the balcony so anyone could easily open it from outside.

Very comfortable stay and quiet room. very friendly and helpful staff. Conveniently located in the old town and close to train/bus/metro/tram.

A special thank you to Mohamed, who truly went above and beyond to make my stay perfect. It’s rare to find a place where every staff member is consistently friendly and eager to help, but this hotel absolutely delivers. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay.

Sometimes can be a bit noisy

The hotel was very clean and well maintained. We were welcomed and escorted to our room by Muhammed, who explained everything and showed genuine concern for our stay. Our room faced the seaside, and we could see it quite clearly from the third floor. Our room was serviced daily, as far as I could tell. The bathroom was clean. The location is quite good, you can walk almost anywhere from there. The metro is about a 15-minute walk away with suitcases (note that the streets are narrow and partly paved with cobblestones, but this is typical of the city). The bathroom was quite small, and getting into the shower was an acrobatic experience. However, Muhammed mentioned that he could have changed our room had we asked. Along with the seaside view came the sight of a busy road, which could get a bit noisy. I am a light sleeper, but I was able to manage.

The staff - Mohammed and the hotel owner were very accommodating. It was great having them look after your needs and genuinely care. Just the dark alleys near the hotel, but it is a relatively safe neighborhood. Also, the street where the hotel is located is really tight so larger tour buses might not be able to pick you up. Although, it's just a few feet from the main road.

The hotel was very clean and close to everything you might need—transportation, restaurants, supermarkets, etc. The staff was amazing. Muhammed and the front desk helped me with everything I needed, and Muhammed also showed me how to visit all the main places and even helped me with my luggage. He is truly an amazing person. The room was clean, the service was perfect, and I will definitely come back to Okda next time.

Location -further away from main city. Had to walk to take a taxi. Not easy to locate.

Our room faced the street, so it was a bit noisy due to the heavy traffic. However, this didn’t bother us much, as we were very tired from our activities in Istanbul and slept soundly.

We had a wonderful stay at Okda Hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and caring, making us feel very welcome throughout our visit. The hotel is exceptionally clean, well-organized, and peaceful , no noise at all. We also enjoyed a lovely view from our room. Overall, a great experience and we would definitely recommend it! The reception staff, especially Muhammad, was exceptionally helpful and kind. He went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and smooth. His professionalism and warm hospitality truly stood out and made a positive difference in our experience.

Receptionist Muhammed is wonderful—he’s very attentive and always there for anything you might need. It feels like the entire staff is available 24/7. Whatever we needed, he helped us immediately. The hotel’s location is great, within walking distance of the main attractions—just a few kilometers away. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. They also arranged our airport transfer early in the morning. Truly, everything was amazing. The rest of the staff is also wonderful. We felt safe throughout our stay. The neighborhood is safe, mostly inhabited by locals, with cheaper restaurants and shops compared to the city center. The only downside is the noise coming from the metro station and the highway across the street. It can get loud and be heard in the room. At the same time, it’s also a convenience. We weren’t in the room during the day, so it wasn’t a big issue, and it’s quieter at night.

Reception guys are top. Thank you a lot, Mansour and Mohammed! Great accommodation, in an ideal location, close to everything by walking distance (10-30 min walking). The area might not seem best, but you are 100% safe, with children playing all the time.

The hotel was kind enough to accommodate our early morning check-in, which we really appreciated after a long journey. Our room was clean, well-kept daily, and had an incredible view—we could see the Hagia Sophia right from our balcony! A special mention to the receptionist, Mohammad, who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. He assisted us with public transport cards, gave us great tips for sightseeing, and even guided us to some excellent spots for authentic local cuisine. For a budget hotel, Okda was excellent value for money. Comfortable, clean, well-located, and with warm hospitality—it had everything we needed for a memorable stay in Istanbul. Highly recommend!

Great value for money. Room and bathroom were just like in pictures. Staff was very kind.
