Rating the hotel highly for its excellent breakfast served in a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, along with kind staff and a highly professional team. I truly enjoyed having breakfast served to me with the freedom to choose anything I wanted. Everything was of exceptional quality and truly outstanding. The hotel’s location was perfect, and I really enjoyed walking around and exploring the surrounding historic area. The room design and furniture were very stylish and classic, and everything was even better than what was shown in the photos

The staff at the front desk was the best. They were always helpful and friendly and went beyond the call of duty, They made me feel welcime and valued.

Beautiful hotel in old historic area, great location Would have liked a buffet breakfast for this class of hotel but rooftop was amazing for drinks and evening food

The unique design I don’t think it’s not like - but to get there from the airport during the day could be more than 1 hour - just keep that in mind

The incredible rooftop restaurant of this hotel is reason enough to stay in this property. The views of the city, the golden horn, the Hagia Sophia, and the Galata Tower are amazing. The food, the cocktails and the service were five stars. Yet, the rooms and the location do not fall behind. The rooms are modern, spacious, well appointed and unique. The location is also perfect, right in the center of the historic peninsula of Istanbul, on a pedestrian street, the hotel is both surprinsingly quiet, yet also a short walk from all major sites. Finally, the staff, without exception, was friendly, attentive and helpful. I strongly recommend this hotel.

The rooms were very dark and the bathrooms were way too small. It was even difficult to getting in and out of the shower because of the small size of the bathroom.

Hotel was excellent, rooms fantastic, staff couldn’t have been better. Would absolutely recommend to others. Rooftop bar/restaurant was amazing and the icing on the cake, where you could enjoy breakfast in the sun with a fantastic view of the river and the surrounding mosques. WiFi wasn’t free. Should be easier to get online. TV had very standard channel package so a bit disappointing. Hotel dinner menu choice was very limited (but food was excellent)

Exceptional

For 250 eur/night it was very good. Breakfast was really nice and tasty with proseco. Location also was very good, on quite street next to main buz. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Bathroom and toilet with glass walls was not preferred option but was ok. 17 eur for gin and tonic is expensive even for European standards.

No privacy in the bathroom, no cupboards

It is a brand new or rather an upgraded version of the property. The breakfast was a proper deal breaker. You are spoilt for options. The staff are extremely polite and respectful. Location is great. Walkable to the metro. Very centralized location. The room I got was unfortunately next to the lift. Being a light sleeper, I had descriptive sleep when people were talking loudly in the night to their rooms from the lift.

One of the reasons I have felt in love with Istanbul is the stay at the Orient Occident Hotel! It was a wonderful experience - the location, the food, room, service, spa… everything 10 out of 10 and even more! I enjoyed the stay a lot and would deffinetely come back one day!

Our stay at the Orient Occidental Hotel was truly exceptional. The hotel’s location is perfect—right in the heart of Fatih and just a short walk from the metro station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Istanbul. The interiors of both the hotel and our room were beautifully designed, exuding elegance and comfort. The staff were outstanding—polite, attentive, and always willing to assist with any request. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the rooftop restaurant, which offered breathtaking views of the city. The Turkish breakfast spread was simply delightful, adding to the overall experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul—it’s the perfect blend of luxury, convenience, and warm hospitality. -

Amazing staff. Nothing. It was perfect.

The building was very nice, well decorated, very nice ambience. Breakfast was delicious, with a lot of choices, a la carte. Staff was very helpful and gentile, excellent service. It is ideally located to explore Old Istanbul. The room didn't have enough closet space. The bathroom was nice but divided by glasses so there was not much intimacy. Everything else was perfect.
