Overland Residence

The apartment is in terrible condition, it's been in dire need of renovation for a long time, there's black mold in the shower, the air conditioners are clogged with dust, the furniture is worn and stained, it's so smoky it's impossible to breathe even with the windows open, I had to immediately flee to a nearby hotel, a waste of money...

The stay at Overland Residence was excellent. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it feel like a home away from home. A special mention to Houda, who was an outstanding host-very courteous, attentive, and always available to help with anything we needed. Her hospitality truly made the experience even better Honestly, there was very little to fault.

The apartment was self catering, and had all the utensils we needed. We could get our goods from a nearby Supermarket and prepared our own breakfast. They were busy with some drilling and construction next door, but I guess this will pass. If this is done, all will be perfect.

Apartments was clean and comfortable and located close to main road. Restaurants and groceries is 5 min walking... Also Shishli is 15 min walking

The best place to stay with Families and especially children. It is exactly 15 minutes walk from Taxim Square.

The apartment in Istanbul was excellent. The staff was just one phone call away and always happy to help. I really liked the location—everything was close by. I arrived at 2:00 AM, and the gentleman was there to welcome me, which I really appreciated. One small suggestion: for late arrivals like us, it would be nice if they could prepare something simple, like tea, bread, jam, or cereal, even if there’s an extra charge. I didn’t ask, but I thought they might offer this as a courtesy, especially for guests arriving so late with children.

Nothing Old , no parking

Great location, beautiful view, clean, spacious and comfortable apartment, also, very friendly staff, housekeeping and management. They were understanding, supportive, and accommodating as we had flights canceled (and borders closed) because of Middle East chaos, and helped us to extend our stay, with great sense of humanism. The place felt like home, in a very difficult and unpredictable situation that occurred during a family trip, quite unexpectedly, specially for elderly people , my parents, who are vulnerable in such conditions. And I appreciate the help and support. To sunset catchers: our apartment had beautiful sunsets, with a deep feeling of being in Istanbul!

The staff were very helpful and kind. The property worths the money. There were some technical issues in the house but the staff were very helpful with solving the issues.

I highly recommend you all to choose Overland Residence as your first choice of accommendation whenever you are traveling to Istanbul. I spent a week in sir Mr Salim's hotel/apartment and had the best experience. We felt totally at home as they are not defects. The location is quite nearby to all the visiting places like The Galata Tower, The Blue Mosque, Egyptian Bazaar and The Grand Bazaar and so on. We were welcomed very warmly by the staff of Overland Residence. One of the staff named Hesham was a very down to earth person. His million dollar smile and assistance brings so much positivity in the visitors. He guided us regarding food, places to visit, transport guidance and numerous other information we needed 24/7. The owner Mr Salim and other staffs including Mr Mohammad are amazing people. They all made sure we were okay in every possible way. The basic needs like the grocery stores, money exchange and the pharmacy were just some meters away so I would definitely recommend overland residence to others and we will choose the same place to stay in our next visit. ?

Arrived 2am in the morning. Checking was fast and easy. Our room was ready. We were offered tea and all requested information about the hotel surroundings. Perfect location and clean hotel. Peaceful as it is about 200 meters from main street but only about 10 minutes walk from Taksim Square or Osmanbay station. Nothing to complain about. All as expected and as in the pictures.

Check-in was smooth, and the apartment is conveniently located near metro and bus stations, making it easy to get around. This property left a lot to be desired. Here were some of the main issues we faced: The bathroom and kitchen areas were not well-maintained and needed better cleaning. The smell of cigarette smoke lingered throughout the entire building, which was very unpleasant. The beds were uncomfortable, and both towels and bedding were old and overused; replacements are definitely needed. One day, water leaked from the ceiling due to an issue in the apartment above. Unfortunately, no one came to clean up the water on the floor, and when we informed the host, they simply shrugged it off. We encountered cockroaches under the bedroom cabinets, which was disturbing. The property was very noisy late into the night for most of our seven-day stay, making it difficult to rest. On the morning of our departure, the host was unhelpful and rude when we requested assistance with taxi arrangements. As a result, we ended up paying more than the originally agreed-upon price. While this place may be modestly priced, I believe there are far better options available at a similar cost.

Both apartments were spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. They had all the necessary amenities, making it feel like a home away from home. The location was great, with easy access to local attractions and transportation. I highly recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and hassle-free stay in Istanbul. The best part of this residence is the location and staff. Overland Residence is located at the heart of Taksim. It is near to Taksim Square and all other tourism places. The major attractions of Istanbul, such as Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Basilica, Blue Mosque, different museums, Grand Bazar, Glata Tower, Glata Port, Dolmabache Palace and many more, are easily accessible. The staff is cooperative and helpful and ready to help anytime. The staff is English and Arabic speaking, which is a great advantage for us. We rented an apartment which was neat and clean, have all the facilities needed for the family. The kitchen had all the things which were helpful for us as we reside there with family. The washroom had the water jet, which is a blessing as it is to commonly available in the hotels. The building is a little old but they maintained it well.
