LOCATION AND PRICE

I arrived on a rainy day and left on a rainy day, but the stay in between was great. The place feels fit for a Sultan, with thoughtful details like a small hot pot in the reception area. They provided two pairs of slippers, and the room, while small, was cozy and clean, with artificial candle lamps adding charm. It was tidied daily, and the bathroom was well-maintained. The food available for online ordering was pricey, but I never needed it. The Simit (a type of Turkish bread) was delightful, especially with Nutella or mayonnaise, though it was equally enjoyable plain. The location is great too. The Cemberlitas area has a metro tram station, making it easy to explore the city with an Istanbulkart, which you can purchase at the metro station. The Grand Bazaar and other attractions are just a short walk away. The view from the room’s window was phenomenal, with a huge mosque nearby (which I initially thought to be Hagia Sophia) and the sea dotted with stationary ships, visible both day and night. The rooftop, furnished with tables and chairs, offers a stunning view, though we didn’t get a chance to use it. Seagulls often flew around, and cats occasionally climbed onto the roofs. Before departing, we picked up sweets near the metro station, making for a perfect ending to the trip. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Istanbul.

It is easy to communicate with staff because he can speak English well. The hotel has a lift that makes it easy for us to bring our luggage to the room. And the room is bigger and very comfortable

The shower and the view from terrace of the hotel were good. And the fact that geographically it was located near almost all the historical and architectural sites I wanted to see was nice. The place was dirty as hell. I ordered a room with either a double bed or twin beds and I got a mini room with a 1 and 1/2 person bed. There were dirt spots on the walls and the toilet bowl was broken. Now let's talk about the hotel manager : the guy was a scammer. Firstly I had thought that by ordering my transport from the airport to the hotel with the hotel would be easier. Well no. I ordered a transport for a specific time that never showed up and send texts and calls while I was up in the air (on my flight) so a had to take a cab there (which I had to pay for) and when we arrived at the hotel the manager angrily says that we didn't show up for his transport which he had set up at the WRONG time and that we had to pay for it anyway. Of course we refused because what kind of idiot is unable to read a time for pick up. The guy really didn't like that. So he treated us quite odly poorly during the rest of our stay for example : Later during our stay we wanted to try the breakfast formula which was ADVERTISED AS BEING 8 EUROS PER PERSON. He told us HE WANTED 10 PER PERSON. And when we showed him HIS prices on booking he said no. If you don't pay 10 you don't get your breakfast. So we didn't. And I believe we weren't the only ones it happened to because some other customers there were complaining about how the manager kept asking for more money.

The room was small, and bathroom was dirty. The staff were so rude, I invited my friend over for 1-2 hrs but the receptionist started arguing that I need to pay him for the friend.

The location is good and close to most tourism areas. The staff are friendly and assisting. The room was small, but it's acceptable as long as you have outside action, so you are not staying all the time at the hotel. No kettle was there. No tea or coffee was available also in the room
