The room basically was okay, but there was a loud nightclub, and hotel doesn't make anything to make your stay comfort. The breakfast was below average

It was central. Limited facilities.

The staff was amazing, particularly Umut who was very helpful and resolved an issue with the room I had initially booked, which made my stay more pleasant. Also Fatih and Burak were very helpful. The location of the hotel is close to Istiklal street, a main shopping hub with many restaurants, cafes and local/international brands. Nothing to complain about because the hotel was good value for the money spent.

Best English bookshop in Istanbul, or anywhere really. Situated on three levels & packed with every book you ever wanted to read.

Nice location, close by to some nice bars, coffee shops and restaurants. The staff was amazing and more than polite. Because of the central location is getting a bit noisy in the evening, but this is Istanbul, so nothing extraordinary. The breakfast was ok, but nothing special.

Excellent Location and Helpful Staff We had a great stay! The location is excellent — less than a minute walk to Istiklal Street and around 10 minutes to Taksim Square. The area is lively and convenient, perfect for exploring Istanbul. The staff were very nice and extremely helpful. They allowed us to leave our bags after checkout, which made our last day much easier. We really enjoyed the sea view from the room,such a lovely bonus. Just keep in mind that the street can get a bit noisy at night, especially on weekends. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay in the heart of the city!

Gentle Tom is a great hotel in a great neighborhood. Tom Tom is a great area. It's central while being a real neighborhood with a great mix of locals and visitors of all types. I care about the decor of rooms in hotels and was pleased to find my room well designed, simple, stylish and comfortable. The lobby doesn't match the thoughtful design of the rooms and the rooftop with its great views of the city and the Bosporus. Just outside the hotel to the left is the main shopping street of Istanbul with all the international and national brands and tons of people. Easy walking to other interesting areas like Galata. Cafe Ara is in between the hotel and the main street a few steps from the hotel with a great local vibe. To the right a few doors down is a lovely wine bar and Italian restaurant perfect for a relaxed first night in town. There are local shops and groceries on the the street for basics or if if you want a quieter evening. The former French Orphanage down the street is a beautiful green oasis with a cafe for a lovely early evening. Some say it's noisy but it's where the action is. I wasn't bothered by the noise. I previously stayed in a quieter more expensive area of Istanbul and found it dull especially as a solo traveler.

The staff was super helpful and friendly, always greeting the guests with a smile and kind word. The breakfast on the rooftop was great, and the unhindered view of Topkapi and Haya Sophia surpassed the view from other vantage spots in the city, including the Galata Tower. The location is just excellent —within walking distance of the Galata Tower area, the Karaköy port, and also Taksim Square. It is a close distance from The Museum of Innocence, which is a great introduction to the city of Istanbul and some of its history. Noise. There are bars in the neighborhood that make it difficult to fall asleep. Only the use of ANC headphones did the trick.

It was a bit loud at night and Aircon wasn't the best but the location and staff were very friendly and welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay and how central the place was

The hotel staff is incredibly kind and helpful, even providing a room before the official check-in time. The location is convenient, and the hotel is very clean, making for a pleasant stay. However, the breakfast is quite simple and repetitive, lacking variety. Additionally, the hotel can be very noisy at night due to nearby clubs, which may be a concern for light sleepers.
