The reception staff were extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was excellent, everything was easily accessible The road was a bit noisy at night and early morning and the rooms were overlooked by close buildings so you have to remember to keep your curtains drawn when changing. There wasn't a lot of choice for breakfast.

Hotel staff was professional and ready to answer our questions. Hotel is located in an area where with a short walk is possible to visit the main attractions in Sultanahmet

The Hotel was brilliantly located the a tram stop clos by giving easy access to all of Istanbul’s main attractions. The staff were lovely and extended the generous Turkish hospitality we’ve come to adore and respect. The help of the front desk team in giving directions, help and support throughout our 2 night was exceptional I would particularly like to thank our front desk specialist Simioma Yumis for her help and guidance as well as her excellent English throughout our stay. The bathroom was large exceptionally clean with a great walk in shower. However just a picky point. There was not a single shelf or ledge upon which to place your toiletries. These had to be placed on the floor which it’s not good.when your back is as bad as mine.

Good hotel, convenient location (bit noisy street). The room was very clean and well equipped. Friendly staff, that helped for all questions. Bit noisy street and poor bar in lobby;)

It is a great place to stay for a weekend in Istanbul - everyting you'd need to see as a first-time-visitor is on a walking distance, the rooms are comfy and staff does a lot to make you feel super welcomed!!

The staff was wonderful! They helped us with all the things from cooking a tour guide to greeting my children each morning when we came down to breakfast. And the joined rooms made our stay very comfortable. Nothing- it was a great stay!

Great location, walking distance from the historic center of Istanbul. Beautiful and clean rooms, comfortable with neat bathroom. Breakfast is really good. The service is great at the reception, Yunus and Ersin always nice and helping us with everything we needed, including cabs and recommendations.

Excellent stay! The hotel was spotless, and everything was well-maintained. The management was professional, friendly, and always ready to help. Great location too—close to everything but still quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended!

I booked non-smoking room and experienced strong smell of cigarette-smoke in the morning several times. Smell was probably coming from other rooms.

Room was large and comfortable. Quite calm considering the location Breakfast was included and buffet style, was fine for something quick in the morning maybe some pastries or something extra with breakfast

The location was perfect, everyyhing was walking distance. The room was clean. Had pretty much every facility we needed during our stay. The staff was very polite and very helpful. All the sirs working there were super professional. Especially Abdurrahman, he helped us a lot with everything, from food and visits recommendations, to taxi bookings, even let us use the Spa after the final hours as we were just 20min before closing. We had some issues with the breakfast because it had more traditional turkish breakfast options, but that is matter of personal preference so no big deal.

Location is so perfect, right in the heart of Istanbul, close to the shops, restaurants. The staff are very friendly! The room was great!

The staff was attentive and friendly. They did everything they could to make our stay comfortable including serving us tea in the lobby as we waited and arranging tours and dinner reservations for us The spa is very dated and not comfortable

The location is perfect. The staff is friendly. The breakfast isn't very good. I didn't return after the first one. The rooms smell of rotting drains. The buttons on the toilets don't work and you have to keep pulling wall plate off and manually adjusting the levers and then replacing the wall plate back so it doesn't look like a construction site.

The location is perfect, just 5 min walk to grand bazaar. The only thing they missed, body lotion!

Everything was great faruk helped us from the time we arrived with our bags, food, and places we wanted to go. He went over and beyond for us no matter what we wanted or needed. I would return again.

The location was great. It was close to underground parking, hopping on the train, the Grand Bazaar, and many other points of interest. We had rented a car, knowing we would be staying in Turkey for an unknown time. We came to Turkey with only one-way plane tickets from the US. The staff at the Golden Royal were over-the-top helpful, especially Yunus. He helped us with local transportation and even gave us his train pass to use. He helped us with ideas for our further travels in Turkey. He helped with parking and setting up a private tour for just my wife and me. Other staff helped with check-in, bags, and extending our rental car. We stayed for 5 days and then extended our stay by a week, and subsequently added another week along the way. We started with a mediocre room with zero view and ended up with a great room with a very decent view. The room temperature was hard to control but more importantly, the A/C fan blew across the bed. It took us time to adjust it to work for us. The breakfasts were mediocre, but acceptable.
