On my last day the room smelled like cigarette smoke - this may have been from people outside the building but I could smell it on the first floor

The hotel manager is extremely kind and attentive, he was always available and really made us feel at home in Istanbul. The only problem we found is that the hotel isn't on a street, so getting to the hotel with bags is quite challenging.

Perfectly located for Taksim area and Istakal St. Clean, comfortable, good hot water and pressure. Lovely old world hotel with fresh paint and renovated bathroom.

Very nice staff. Fairly clean. Nice shower. Smoking smell even at night. Old towels. There is no immediate access for a taxi. No amenities. AC timed to be off in the middle of the night!

It was my number two option for accomodation, but I am happy the other wasn't meant to be, because Lina Pera was awesome. The location near Taksim, connection to the local public transport, the cleanliness, daily changing the sheets and towels (even if not asked to), and the upgrade to the rooms they gave us made the trip a really nice one. And Murat was the best, helping us with everything, tips, free water for our rooms. The rooms are bigger than what we imagined and could easily fit 4 people (the ones with double bed and couch). And the beds more comfortable than expected, even the couch. Recommending it and definitely coming back here when returning to Istanbul. -

Excellent location to explore Taksim Square and Istiklal Street. Safe place and helpful staff. Very small room, rain shower was not working and it took two days for the staff to attend to it and despite of that it didn't work to satisfaction.

Everything was nice. The receptionists were very polite and willing to help us when we ask for informations. The hotel was old but it was renovated . The hotel is 5 minutes away by foot from Istiklal street. Also, 5 minutes from the hotel there are bus stops.

Nothing Never trust this people in Istanbul, the room price was 20 $, there was another option 38$, it was the same room but with early checkin and late checkout. Btu when I arrived the guy told me that he dosnt have available room, and it’s upon availability, when I asked him why don’t you write it on booking.com that it’s upon availability so people know what they are paying for, he kept saying, you can go to another luxury hotel. Rude and scammer
