They have a very accommodating staff from reception to the restaurant and the cleaning staff. The location is very good, close to malls and easy access to tourist attractions. Anywhere I go, I put my trust in the hotel in terms of recommending tour agencies that would make our stay more memorable at a reasonable cost. I’m so disappointed that the tour company they associated with “GREEN EXPRESS TRAVEL” is not a reliable company. A day tour that started at 9:30 and ended Midnight was a total waste of time. We drove all that way to go to candy and marmalade shops “not factory” and instead of the Main Places stated in the brochure, they took us to ATV for extra cost. Shopping mall for 30mins (who does clothes shopping for 30mins??) If the cable car was not available, due to reasons beyond their control, why not be transparent about it, it’s their responsibility to get this information ahead of time and let the people know. The explanation was lame as we discovered the guide knew about the problem the day before! Very disorganized, lunch was 4pm! NO REFUND AS PROMISED! I can go on and on… so sad, our last day in beautiful Istanbul was a nightmare! Please Occidental Hotel your standard is great! I hope no other guests will have the same experience.

The location was perfect. The staff were very kind and supportive. I needed to use my laptop charger but the plug-in was the single Turkish standard one. Although there were also usb, but I had to buy an adapter to be able to use my laptop.
