The room was ugly, the sheets had hair from other people so I had to sleep (or try to) over the duvet, the mattress was in bad condition, there was noise from the street all night and the area is not good. I decided to drop my booking and find another hotel after first night.

The hotel is located directly across from the Yenikapı metro station. However, getting there requires a detour due to a busy road. The pedestrian crossing is to the left of the metro station. The walk is about 10-12 minutes. The room was very cozy and quiet. The duvet and pillows were fluffy! The breakfast buffet was excellent. My flight was in the evening, and they let me leave my bags at the hotel while I strolled around the old town. The staff was very attentive. They help with any questions that arise. The metro is very convenient for Atatürk Airport and the Esenler Bus Station.

There was a small issue with the AC, but we contacted them and it was fixed very quickly.

Everything was excellent. We enjoyed our stay at the Orient Mintur hotel. The staff was helpful and especially Bekir, who was always there for any questions we had. The location was also convenient, as many attractions were in close proximity by foot. We would definitely come back. Good value for money choice!

This is perfect medium size HOTEL for tourists. Small enough to get a VERY KIND and FAMILIAR service (first of all big thanks for Bekir, who gave ALL necessary support at Reception: maps, program/restaurant/public transport - advices, umbrella (in case of rain), an extra pillow, explanations about anything, etc.), but large enough to enjoy a very wide range of breakfast offer, for example. The rooms are were clean and acceptable space, beds were comfortable. The daily "set up" was also nice (some cleaning, a new bottle of water for free, new slippers, new towels, etc). The location is in a small street, fully silent, but numerous buses only 2 minutes walk, and the Tram Nr1, or HVL (Airport bus) are only 6-8 minutes walking distance. Public transport connections are really good!! We like, if rooms has a chair, it was not available here. The breakfast range was wide enough, the only weakness maybe the cold (sliced) meats were not so delicious, but acceptable. Also the fruit juices were also "very light". It is very kind, but maybe not necessary to give daily new slippers and towels. I woud recommend if "towels are on floor or slippers in/on trash bin" - the meaning is it's time to change. Otherwise it would be not necessary.

Warm, welcoming staff, superb breakfasts. My room was cosy and warm with a sea view. Felt at home and would definitely return. Really appreciated the personal touch from the staff. I was also allowed to store my luggage after check-out. A true Turkish welcome from the world’s warmest people! The safe in the room didn’t work. I could smell cigarette smoke most nights, which was unpleasant as this is a non-smoking hotel. On a couple of days my room wasn’t cleaned thoroughly and only the bed was made.

We really enjoyed our stay at Orient Mintur Hotel. The Hotel met with all of our expectations. The Hotel is easily accessible by metro, located in a central area surrounded with restaurants, shops. The room was clean, bed extremely comfy. The staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast was great. We stayed in different hotels in Istanbul, but the Orient Mintur was the best so far. Highly recommended hotel. We liked everything.
