Wonder Wood Hotel

We were very happy with the helpful and kind staff ( Alperen, Saltuk, Tuham, Apo, Nadide and Feride ). They made us feel very welcome. A very homey place. We were informed our booked room changed due to the Air Conditioning not working which is essential in the summer. I was looking forward to a stay in the newer building but they put us in a slightly larger room in the main older building and it was nice because we got to see and chat with staff. Our AC was good. The room overall was clean, it had a kettle and small fridge, everything we needed for our short 3 night stay. Breakfast was additional cost and we did not try it but I did see others being served and it looked good. Hot Turkish Tea, filtered water and coffee provided which was nice. There were many stairs to our 3rd floor room which was hard BUT the staff did help us with our luggage. Be aware there are stairs to all rooms in main building. Absolutely no English programming on television. Primarily Turkish.

Friendly staff, fantastic breakfast, great central location!

The location was handy, very close to Sultanahmet Camii and Hagia Sofia, and public transport links. The staff were really helpful and the breakfast was lovely. The room is very small and there was a lot of noise from the room directly above, every time the occupants moved it felt really heavy on the ceiling.

The staff was extremly nice and helpful and the location is super close to the blue mosque. Very very noisy, you can hear neighbours and the room upstairs super loudly, every step the upstairs people take is going to wake you up if you are not a deep sleeper.

Also it was opportunity to stay down on the reception, and enjoy calm atmosphere and watch smth. They cleaned our rooms every day, everything everything in the room was so comfy and cute. Amazing hotel.

Great location, friendly & helpful staff, clean comfortable room. I stayed in a few different hotels in the area and this one by far was my favourite.

I liked the location and comfortable beds. The ceiling had a pretty bad water leak after rain. They moved us to another room and the faucet completely came off and water was going everywhere. We ended up leave a day prior from our checkout. The first day the staff was really helpful and the last day we could barely communicate in English with the staff.

I book the basement room and it wasn’t that comfortable.

Old style decoration is a top tier. Very respectful and helpful staff. The bathroom of the deluxe room is 10/10 .

The staff were extremely helpful. Helping me carry my very heavy luggage up 4 flights of stairs. Offering me tea, coffee, and snacks upon arrival. The room was very unique and had great character.

Mansoor and Nadede are really nice and helpful. Thanks to them we enjoyed a very pleasant stay. The hotel is located in a central district for tourist activities.

My family and I felt very well taken care of during our stay here. Mansoor and the other concierge made sure we were as comfortable as possible.
