Stayed here for the nostalgia. My dad worked for Nordic Hills when I was a kid and I spent a lot of time there in the 70’s and 80’s. It has been significantly changed but not for the better. The cool octagonal indoor pool is gone, the outdoor pool is gone. There is a new indoor pool, which is decent. The lady who runs the little bowling alley is very nice. They really need to fix the bowling alley if they’re going to charge guests to use it. $30 per hour is a little expensive for electronics that doesn’t count the pins correctly. There aren’t enough sizes to use bowling shoes and the balls and lanes are very worn. Overall we had a fun time though. They should just include it in the price if they’re room honestly. The downstairs restaurant used to be awesome. Now it’s meh. Very limited menu of seemingly microwaved food. Bring back The Viking Room and the two-sided fireplace! We were charged $10 per car to park in the parking lot. Not sure why…Glad we went but they should have kept the stuff that made the place cool and unique back in the day. People seem to like the golf course.

Incredible stay. We were able to check in a few hours early. Rooms were spacious. The complimentary shuttle to the train station was an amazing touch.

Extremely disappointed with the lack of accountability and poor communication from this hotel's staff regarding a missing item. I checked out early on July 19 at 8:00 PM and realized within an hour that I had left a personal item in my room. Because my official checkout date wasn't until July 20, I immediately called the front desk to ensure the room was secured before housekeeping ever entered. Instead of assisting, the front desk dismissed the issue and told me to call housekeeping the next morning at 8:00 AM.Following their exact instructions, I called the housekeeping department multiple times the next morning. Every call went straight to voicemail. The automated message directed me to file a report on a specific website, which I did immediately on July 20 at 12:00 PM.Over the next few days, I made numerous attempts to follow up with housekeeping and even spoke with a manager to relay my urgent concerns. My messages were completely ignored. Ultimately, I had to physically return to the hotel at a major personal inconvenience just to get an answer. I was dismissively told that nothing matching the description was found. The staff completely pushed this issue aside, offered zero resolution, and showed a total lack of urgency despite being notified immediately. Travelers beware: if you leave something behind here, do not expect management to help you recover it.

The hotel was nice & spacious. Lobby was nice & had “clubhouse” vibe as it was a golf & spa hotel. This hotel needs serious upgrades. The facility is old. The room we checked in had a leaking toilet. (water from toilet bowl to the floor) So they gave us another room immediately. The room was spacious. Bed was big & sheets were clean. Bathroom was a bit small, but clean & functional. The bottles attached on the wall with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were from a certain brand. When I saw them I was happy as I used them before in a different hotel in the past. To my surprise & disappointment, the contexts were cheaper alternatives. My friend & I used pool in the morning of check out & we were alone. Pool & Jacuzzi were excellent! After figuring out how to start the dry sauna, it was wonderful. We decided to use the showers in the locker room. It took very long time to get hot water. There was a loose faucet in a sink & we told a staff at Spa. She noticed it before we did & already had called the maintenance. You can tell how old the facility is… The hotel & Spa/pool buildings are isolated from each other. You need to go outside & walk through a parking lot. When the weather is not nice the access will be hard. Lastly, you MUST make sure the hours of Spa & bowling. Monday is not a good day for these activities. Sitting at the table on the terrace attached to the lobby & watching planes go by in the night & morning were wonderful & peaceful. Remember daily parking fee!

The entire experience from check in to check out was amazing. The staff were very helpful and friendly and very knowledgeable about the whole experience and amenities. I would recommend staying here for your family and individual travel

I absolutely hated my stay here. First off, the people at the front desk were very rude. Next the pool so so cloudy and you couldn’t see anything underwater with goggles! The pool was full of bugs and you couldn’t see the drain. Then the locker rooms, the locker rooms has mold on the walls and the towels smelt horrible. Now inside the room, there was bedbugs, the room was very small and lacked basic resort things inside the room like a small kitchen a microwave and everything was just fitted into a single room. I tried calling about the situation and the manager hung up on me. Then I called back and he said email me with photos, so I did it’s been 2 weeks and no reply. I do not recommend staying here.
