Mercure Jakarta Batavia

The room was very spacious, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious especially the shower. In room kettle, instant coffee and filtered water were provided. We did not have breakfast in the hotel but we did have dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was very good. The pool was usually crowded in the morning and early afternoon but then quieted down in the early evening. The gym is average size but there's plenty to get a decent workout. The location, although close to the old town, is not pretty. Once you step out of the hotel it's like you're stepping into a different world, it's dirty, noisy, and the buildings are all dilapidated. Despite the ugliness, the area is safe to walk even at night.

Got food poisoning. All staff lobby, reception, fixing the room really took care of me helping with car, hospital, communication, travelling with me to hospital. So endlessy thankful for all their help in a situation like this.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Especially Sugi! The breakfast was perfect. There were many choices for asian breakfast. We had very nice asian lunch there as well.

Hotel is located in the old part of Jakarta and is surrounded by by old colonial buildings.The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms clean and functional. The hotel just didn’t quite achieve the historical ambience It was trying for. It’s quite functional but lacked the pizzazz of other places we had stayed in on our travels.

This is a well-located hotel if you plan on staying in the older part of the city. Kota Tua is mainly of interest to tourist. Cafe Batavia and other landmarks are within walking distance. It is a large hotel with all the facilities you would expect from a mid-range chain hotel. Rooms are spacious, bathrooms clean. I liked the quality of the mattress and (strength of the ) walk-in shower. This is a Mercure Hotel so it is well maintained and the staff is what one would expect from a large hotel like this one. There are some aspects that could be approved though. Of the three elevators only two worked throughout my four-day stay. Of the two coffee machines available at breakfast, one was out of service the whole time. The coffee itself was of mediocre quality considering that Indonesia has such excellent varieties. I wondered why that was.

It is relatively close to the airport. The location is good for walking around, (near to the historical area of Kota Tua and Chinatown.) Variety of foodis limited at breakfast buffet.

* The location of the hotel is perfect for vising the Northern part of Jakarta including the Dutch quarters * The staff was great and very helpful * The breakfast was not really a treat, and given the choices, expensive. For persons with an allergy, there was very little choice. A lot of food, did not taste according to general expectations. So was the bread kind of tasteless (maybe no salt), the butter having a strange taste, some of the food seemed not freshly produced at the hotel but prepared at night by a catering company, etc. No, I would surely not recommend it. * The shower rod was loose. The sink drain was blocked. It was not spic-and-span * We booked a 2-person room, but there was only 1 chair

Some staff facing to visitor are mostly good. good view , silent room.. not far to mall bad equipment in room. bad cleaning. refrigrator is not working but lighted.maintanin staff say its working,, but cold beer bought in mall bevame hot afte i took shower.. cocroch.and other fly are in any places. washing room keep many long hair , i found 5 hairs.. safty box is not work

Spacious room. Kids activities at swimming pool Staff were friendly. Shower cubicle and shower were great. Pool. No spare pillows. Floor lights in room that don't switch off at night. Food in the restaurant was terrible -Margerita pizza base was spicy, other food flavourless. No kids burgers available. No wine available. No deserts available apart from ice cream. (Even though lots of desert were on display). Do not eat at this hotel.

Super comfy bed and lovely shower room. My kids especially enjoyed the pool !

The hotel is lovely! Big rooms, comfy beds and attentive personal. Room service was also nice, good and hefty food. Easy to access from the airport The location was a bit sketchy, specially it didn't look very nice when you arrive at 11 pm.

Everything, the room was especially nice and the staff extremely friendly The streets around were a bit chaotic navigate by foot, but that was basically part of the adventure

The staff were very helpful and nice and the breakfast was amazing with a lot of options. We also enjoyed the massages and saunas at the Hotel. The location was good as it was in the heart of the city, but traffic was terrible! The hotel is in need of renewal and maintainence. We noticed dirty windows, Old towels, old tables in the breakfast hall, and when we arrived one of the mirrors in our room was broken. We had a few massages at the hotel, but the towels smelled damp and moldy. These small details add up, and that's why I would rate it as 3 star hotel instead of 4 star hotel. We spent some nights in another hotel in Jakarta which was half the price and had much nicer facilities.
