We booked a family suite with a kitchen, but there’s barely anything to cook with besides one battered pot and pan. The kitchen sink leaks into the cabinet, the bathroom sink clogs, and the bathtub has visible mold in the caulk. The elevator near our second-floor room is out of service, the laundry room is filthy and propped open with a trash can, and outdoor lounge cushions are covered in black mold. Our AC went out twice last night, and when I tried calling the front desk, the room phone didn’t work. Wi-Fi is unreliable, there are no pool/beach towels in the room, and there is no useful map showing where amenities are located. We had to walk a huge distance just to find ice. I’ve been coming to Jekyll Island for over 30 years and usually stay at the Days Inn down the road. We decided to try something different. Never again. To top it off, breakfast is still about $19 per person. I understand things break, but this many cleanliness and maintenance issues at once are unacceptable for the price. Save your money.

The room smelt bad. Air conditioner was loud. Shower did not drain well. Pool was great. Very peaceful property. Beautiful outside and nice view of the ocean. New restaurant limited menu. Have stayed at the property several times in the past not as good as it once was.

The room was okay. Smelled like bleach and dirty mop water on entering the room; but either we adjusted to the smell or smell disappeared. Location was perfect for the beach. Loved Jekyll Island! Will definitely consider returning.
-
It wasn't necessarily the property, the surrounding area was extremely desolate... not as I remembered from years ago. Just disappointing overall.
-
Except that the door to the Beachview side of the room stuck, the room was nice. The staff was generally helpful and pleasant. The location of the hotel is good for access to eating places, the beach, and the Village.

It’s a beautiful location and we enjoyed the beach. However, our room was not clean at all. And the restaurant service was not good. The front desk Customer Service was very good.

Enjoyed our stay!

Everything was great. We went on our honeymoon and spent a couple of nights and had a great time. It was clean and anything you want is there on the property

My room was not ready until almost 5pm and check-in was at 4pm. Everything else was great.

Great location! Great view of the ocean and Great bend at the restaurant but miss the tiki bar!

Ocean view right on the beach Well for the room I paid for the more expensive room they put us in the worst room ever smelled like a mixture of dog pee and wet dog room 203 to be exact. On my booking the room I had paid for was. A bottom floor with ocean view now once my wife started complaining they finally moved us the next day in the afternoon after having to deal with that god awful smell. All I ask is if people pay for a really great room put them people in that really great room don’t just stick them in the cheap smelly room! I was the most unhappy person at this place while I was there!

Kindness, helpfullness, positive atmosphere The kindness and helpfullness we received from the dining and take out (24 cafe) nothing

One of the best locations on the island. At the beach close to Beaches Villages and not very far from the historical area.

No hair dryer. Lady at desk said she’d bring me one, but never did. All windows and doors needed sealing, big gaps. Hair in sink, disgusting. Not enough electrical outlets for our phones. Coffee machine didn’t work.

5 stars all the way. Front desk clerk was friendly and accomodating. Room was large, clean, and had 2 doors; one opened to the parking spots, and the other to the pool. Room had TV with around 300 channels, comfy beds, clean carpets, free safe, and cold air. Hotel property is meticulously landscaped, felt like I was in Hawaii! The restaurant had great frozen drinks, and the BBQ Ribs were the best Ive ever had. Beach access is one minute away, and waves were small enough to be able to enjoy the water. Pool was clean and well maintained. What else can I say? Had a great time and hope to return again soon.

I was very disappointed in this hotel. We stayed here 3 years ago and it was wonderful. This time around the rooms were bad. The fridge was broken and when it was “replaced” the replacement was also broken. One of our rooms was missing a microwave. To me it was a bit overpriced for everything to either be broken or run down. I also miss the most simple continental breakfast. It seems all hotels are getting rid of those and making you pay for it separately.

The not so good: The room was big, but it was clearly an old hotel that had lost its charm from decades ago when the paint was fresh, the window frames were wooden, as they are still. Yes, you read that right. I'm surprised the radios weren't playing The Rat Pack and MoTown. And it didn't help that the air conditioner sounded like a Jumbo Jet taking off, and just as loud, every time it cycled on. The really bad: The staff is almost entirely untrained for hospitality positions, that is to say, the front desk staff. They are nice, just not focused on that upper class reception one expects with elevated prices. I give it maybe four stars out of ten.

Check in was easy, the room was big and the beds comfy. I come back to this property because it’s very comfortable and the beach is great at this end of the island.

By far our favorite place to stay on the island! Absolutely beautiful ocean front rooms!

Right on the beach!
