Location and the staff were always pleasant and helpful

Everything is perfect! Nope!

Convenient location - near to food & train station, but just far enough not to have tourists walking around and hence is quiet. Room is lovely, the onsen in room makes it special. Can soak in room with views of Jiaoxi (if your room is high enough), very nice touch. Staff are all very friendly, from the parking attendants to the front office folks and the public bath lady. Makes you feel homey. The public bath is a very nice place with 3 big baths of different temperature. But after going once, I do not want to go again. While I was showering in the open shower area, the cleaner came to clean up the drain! Not only was she clearing the drain, she was spraying water on the floor (I guess to clean the drains?) and thereafter left the drain covers open. This is totally uncalled for as it was morning, and there was another 1 hour and more before the bath closes for cleaning and maintenance. Also I saw women coming into the bath seemingly without showering (their body / hair were completely dry) and that made me doubt the cleanliness of the bath. The kind lady at the front only reminded guests to drink water but never remind them to shower thoroughly before going into the bath. Maybe the bathing etiquette is not strong here, I’m not sure, but I quickly left the public bath after I saw them as I suddenly feel the bath water is not as clean as I expect it to be.

Beautiful rooms with excellent facilities, including private spring baths and mountain views. Breakfast was OK. Central location in Jioaxi. Impressive communal facilities, including hot spring baths.

Love the hotel! So nice, spacious and clean. The room was huge and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious with tub for hot spring onsen. Excellent location. Close to restaurants, bakeries, shops, drink places, desserts…you name it they have it. There were also many free public hot springs for soaking your feet in. All in all we had a great stay.

Fabulous room but the breakfast could be better

This was honestly the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The service was amazing, and the interior design was calm and elegant. One of the standout features was the Japanese-style Toto toilet – a nice luxury touch. But the absolute highlight was the bathroom: a private hot spring bath in a stone tub, just like a traditional onsen. A truly special experience that made this stay unforgettable!

1) Very polite and efficient staff. From the folks at Front Office to the housekeeper. Front Office would take you up to your room, do simple introductions to the facilities, activities and items provided (or not). The hot water kettle wasn't working though, and I had to go downstairs to inform Front Office as they didn't have a phone in the room. The housekeeper came within a few minutes, checked the kettle, agreed it wasn't working, and promptly got a new one for me. 2) "Hot spring" in the hotel is very clean. Lady in charge comes in and out a lot, and makes sure cameras are not allowed. There is a cold pool, heated pool and hot pool (no indication of whether these are actually hot spring waters with properties), on top on a large sauna. There's facial wash and body lotion too. Good facilities here. Just that the word "Spa" in the hotel's name made me think there were spa massage services, but there wasn't. 3) Free DIY class at 3.30pm on weekdays. Some way to pass time. There's a game room too. And the hotel is relatively quiet and not like a zoo despite its size. Significant proportion of Japanese clientele. 4) Just a 7-8 min walk from Jiaoxi Bus Station, if you're taking a bus from Taipei. Even nearer to train station. Roads are good to drag suitcase on so no worries there. 5) Yukata and slippers provided in room. No more disposable toiletries provided for free in the room from 1 Jan 2025, govt's orders. Internet in room was strong. 6) The bed was super comfortable. Ultra large, with fluffy pillows. I slept so well. 1. Room has a nice stone, grey, square tub in the bathroom. But it seemed silly to not provide bath salts if you expect guests to onsen in their own room. Would have been a nice touch. 2. Toilet a bit strange. It was separated from the sink and bath area. While toilet had a small sink with it, there was no hand soap. So you've to use the toilet and go to the larger bathroom if you want to wash your hands with hand soap and have a mirror. 3. No pretty view. Just put down their blinds as it's directly facing another hotel opposite.
