Hostel Orla de Tambaú

Not a lot. Only the other travelers I met. I've been in many hostels in my 2 years traveling and this was one of the worst for sure. The staff were so rude to me. They aren't welcoming at all. In fact, I felt like a burden to them. I felt the owner was very rude and snotty with me, like I was wasting her time. It's very frustrating when you're giving your money to people who aren't even appreciative.. facilities are dirty. Beds and pillows are old with bugs.

Room size good, travellers awesome The worst pillows in my life, I arrived early and got the choice and they were all maybe 20 years old and falling apart maybe 10 years before, the door didn’t shut and every 30 mins the wind would make it slam very hard waking everyone. Also the beds don’t have a back and so the pillow falls on the floor behind. VERY SIMPLE THINGS WHICH THEY KNOW BUT DONT FIX ???? It’s obvious…. FIRSTLY it is a restaurant so I think they don’t see the hostel above as anything but extra money as opposed to other hostels which care … 1/5 helpful staff

Worst place ever! I've never seen such a crap dormitory in my entire life. There wasn't even a board with the nome of the place in front. You have to guess that is in the upper floor of a snack bar. Dirty toilets, week shower, old and wasted bed linen, no privacy of any kind because the door of the room remained openeed and the guests and the staff make noisy early in morning, no ventilation system , no place to store your luggage before or after the check in /out. The owner and the rest of the staff were unkind and unhelpful . The breakfast was same as nothing. Absolutely anything. Every aspect of the place is bad and it doesn't worth your money. It is a shi.tty place in all senses

the location and that there was breakfast - it was inside a restaurant and breakfast was very basic first, we were poorly attended, there’s no air conditioning, the mattresses are wrapped in plastic and the sheets slide out of it, the shower only cold, not clean. People arrived in the middle of the night to be accommodated, not enough outlets.

It’s okay for breakfast , only ! Only one shower and still very dirty, it doesn't have air conditioning or decent fans for the guests. Among other things it is definitely not worth the value. It shouldn't even be here on the platform!

The best thing about the hostel was it was located very close to te beach. However it was also close to noisy bars. At the beginning it was difficult to find it: it's inside a restaurant and there's no signalling for it. I was attended by a girl that was doing the best to attend guests, clean the hostel, prepare food and serve it in the very busy restaurant. These people working there are really exploited and the owner should better pay a couple more of them to share the huge amount of work that needs to be done. Then I was put in a room with 8 more people. There were 2 rooms like this, it means about 17 people sharing one bathroom (actually the shower and the toilet were independent, so the could be used at the same time). The price was not cheap; I stayed in other hostels in the same city with the same price and better place.

Good location, great value for money. Friendly and helpful staff. Not many vegan options for breakfast. Some cocunut milk would have been good.
