Casa Palomas Bed and Breakfast

Very peaceful traditional Mexican home with character and amazing view. The attentive and very accommodating staff. The breakfast was delicious with fresh regional fruit, a variety of choices for entrees (one specially made off menu item) and homemade baked breads. Plus breakfast was served under a large avocado tree in the backyard. The private pool and view of Lago Chapala! It wasn’t anything that I didn’t like, just something to consider especially for those not familiar with older houses. The house is traditional and therefore does not have air conditioning. So even though it remains cool, it can become a bit humid in the summer. However, the fans provided in the room and sleeping with the screen door was sufficient to keep the breezes coming in. Again, we were ok with this because it allowed us to be able to hear the harmonious sounds from the lake while we fell asleep and woke up!

Staff is really friendly, the house has amazing architecture, furniture and artwork. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The next day staff was super nice to let us know that breakfast could be served until 11:00 am, and they cooked for us something delicious accompanied by fresh brewed coffee and warm freshly-baked bread. Overall it's a nice, private location. Great views of the lake as well. It's hard to take the exit to the hotel, terrain is rough and there's not a sign on the entrance, but luckily staff was able to locate us and open the gate.

Location, super peaceful, isolated from all commotion. Beautiful views. Most attentive manager Petrita. Quality of breakfast, insipid, dry. No spices. (Brings total score down from a perfect 10 to a 9).

Lovely property right on the lake. Patrita was a generous and gracious hostess. Our suite was very nice and comfortable. Great breakfast too. Street noise, but it was to be expected given the property’s location.

Excellent, warm and very tasty... The way the served you the breakfast is the BEST!!! That every time they clean the rooms, it will be better if the personnel put bottles of water, new towels and more shampoo + soap. Independently if we as guest buy from outside or not.

Breakfast was exquisite, service was phenomenal, Petra who works there was so attentive (heart of gold). Loved our stay, amazing view of the lake, I wish we stayed longer. Nothing, everything exceeded my expectations!

Everything ! The location, the decoration of the place, the high maintenance and good quality, but mostly the amazing hospitality from the owner and from the lovely lady house manager ❣️

Located right on the lake shore, also very close to the town. The place is as peaceful as it gets, with a huge lawn and a nice pool. The service is unbeatable, Petrita was so kind and attentive. The rate included a decent breakfast. The construction is aging despite the renovation efforts that I can assume are very challenging for such a big property and very few rooms to sustain it. I would love to come back in the future and see how the improvements are going!

the breakfast, the room size, the comfort of the place, the privacy given that the place only has 3 rooms and the view to the lake. Also the have paddle and kayak to use!
