Acqua Vatos Santorini Hotel

So beautiful with the bougainvillea out front. Pool area was very nice. Rooms were cute. Staff was super helpful. People coming in late were noisy in the hallway. It’s a lot of hard surfaces and it was very echoey and anytime someone came into their room in my hallway it woke me up.

The location and the staff; Mina and Bill were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. Free pool towels & safe. Beds very comfortable. Towels changed every day. Rooms cleaned to a high standard. The hotel is in need of modernising / updating in a number of area's, which would bring it back to the standard of other 3 star hotels in the vicinity.

Upon arrival greeted very well and the room had the facilties listed in the advert. Hair and body products supplied in the bathroom foc were good. The rooms were clean and neat. Separate towels were supplied for the poolside. The reception staff were welcoming upon arrival... though the last day, I suspect lead by the owners, was not handled well, as no notification was given on the website or by the staff the previous day, that the poolside facilities wouldn't be available ie padded sunbed covers, on the last day of the season. This would have made a difference at to where we'd booked. The room was highly lit, at times a lower light would be better, perhaps a lower watt bulb into the side table lights, or a darker shade to reduce the light levels, would be an improvement. Location, excellent. Good breakfast. Good local restaurants and lovely local shops offering something a little different. Close to local transport for travel across the island, which is regular and cheap to use. On the last day, the poolside facilities were not available, ie padded sunbed covers ...hard wooden lats are not acceptable to be left with. They'd been packed away overnight, no notification was given to their customers. Be aware, that although the last day of the season with flights leaving very late in the day, rooms still had to be vacated by 11am. On the positive a downstairs area was provided for a shower and change of clothes. Under normal mid season conditions I'm sure everything would be fine. A darker shade or lower wattage bulbs in the side lights would be better for reduced lighting options, to not disturb other occupiers of the room. A safe in the room would be an improvement, rather than a room behind the reception.

The staff were amazing and just couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel was clean and the location was great, with easy access to the beach and bus station

The staff were great. The breakfast was excellent. Location is good. Rooms tidied and towels changed daily. Super. Shower lets water onto the bathroom floor but not a big issue.

everything, fantastic central Location, close to promenade,beach, standard room with balcony, lovely large pool, excellent breakfast, two lovely and helpful ladies on reception. nothing.

Staff friendly and supportive

This is a very nice hotel in a convenient location, kept very clean by hardworking staff. The manageress Mina and her colleague on reception are absolutely brilliant - friendly, helpful and always with a smile and a word of greeting for guests. I thought the pool area could do with some care and attention. It was a bit shabby and not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel.

It doesn't offer parking.

Exceptional

The hotel is in a good location, close to beach and restaurants. The staff were very kind and helpful. The breakfast had a wide variety of choice. The pool area was relaxing. It was clean. The room was very old and tired looking. The furniture was old/broken. Cracks in the tiles on the floor. The bathroom was tiny and the shower was an open one, so no matter how hard you tried, water went everywhere! The bed was against the wall so in 2, one had to climb in from the other side. The noise coming from the corridor was terrible, every footstep word could be heard resulting in a bad night's sleep.

Perfect nice little hotel with beautiful pool. Very good breakfast included, big choice, and good tadte, more then expected. We were realy positive surprised. They make a copy of your passport which is ok, but they even make a copy of your creditcard on arrival!, which I still dont understand why..

The staff were incredible from start to finish. It was our first holiday with our 8month old baby, and it really was made special by the attention and kindness shown to us. The hotel itself is relatively basic, but certainly has everything you need: a clean and sizeable room, great pool area, and a well stocked bar. The breakfast was good if not particularly earth shattering, but we were well fed. Location wise, few hundred yards to the main promenade of Kamari beach with all the bars and restaurants therefore immediately accessible. An excellent cat as resident too :)
